Bentonville West Wolverines football

A 25-point fourth quarter secured West's victory over a Top 10 Rogers squad 31-25 and earned the Wolverines consecutive victories for the first time in 2023. Harris Vinson scored three total touchdowns for the Wolverines who now sit in a tie for third place in the 7A-West.

Brookland Bearcats boys golf

The Brookland dynasty continues for both boys and girls, as the Bearcats claimed their second consecutive 4A state championship a week removed from the girls winning their fourth in the past five years. Cole Kirby finished first individually with a 65, while teammates Tyson Seyler (72) and Kobe Stout (76) were also a couple of the top scorers.

Cedar Ridge Timberwolves boys golf

For the first time in school history, the Timberwolves are on top of the boys golf mountain following an 18-stroke win over Bigelow to finish with a 236 and win the 2A state title. Caden Griffin tied for first individually with a 71, while his brother, Easton Griffin, was third with a 76.

Centerpoint Knights football

A valiant 41-40 win over previously undefeated Magnet Cove earned the Knights a tie for first place with Glen Rose in the 3A-4 standings. Centerpoint was down 28-23 at halftime in a back-and forth contest, but a late missed field goal by Magnet Cove sealed the win for the visiting Knights and sent them back home with something to celebrate.

Charleston Tigers football

The Tigers shut down a previously undefeated Mansfield team that was averaging 51 points per game and held them to just a touchdown. Charleston, the defending 3A state champions, endured an ultra-challenging non-conference schedule, but are 3-0 in 3A-1 play.

Conway Wampus Cats volleyball

The No. 6 Wampus Cats won the Lady Cat Invitational that they hosted. Conway took down Newport and Siloam Springs in pool play, before defeating Bryant, No. 11 Shiloh Christian and No. 4 Benton in bracket play.

Cutter-Morning Star Eagles football

Cutter won consecutive games for the first time in the Nick Finley era in about the wildest fashion possible. Down 36-16 with just under seven minutes to play, the Eagles reeled off 24 unanswered points to come out of top 40-36 over Genoa Central.

Des Arc Eagles football

They had to survive in two overtimes to do it, but the defending 2A-2 champions are tied for the top spot in the conference following the wild 66-64 win over Marked Tree. The Eagles rushed for 450 yards as a team.

Episcopal Collegiate boys golf

The Wildcats scored a 229 to take down Flippin by nine strokes in the 3A state tournament and win their first title since finishing as back-to-back state champs in 2011-12. Jackson McLaughlin finished at the top individually with a 67, while Jacob Katz (75) was close behind tied for third place.

Mountain Pine Red Devils football

One of multiple great finishes from Week 6 in the 8-Man ranks, the Red Devils escaped sanctioned No. 2 Spring Hill in three overtimes. The contest was nodded up at zero until Spring Hill put the first points on the board in the third quarter.

Rogers Mounties boys golf

Clinched first state title since 2007 scoring a 596, edging Fayetteville by six strokes to win Class 6A. Cohen Kinnard led the Mounties, finishing third individually with a score of 145, While Maddock Stephens (148) and Jack Scudder (149) also cracked the Top 10.
