The 2023-24 high school wrestling season is underway and there were several big national events this past week. Now, we invite you to help us decide who is the SBLive Sports National High School Upper Weight Wrestler of the Week.

Below are the details on the candidates we have selected for your consideration. Share this post with your friends, family, teammates and classmates and encourage everyone to support the wrestler they find most deserving. You can vote as often as you like and the winner will be announced in next week's poll. Voting ends on Sunday, December 10th at 11:59 p.m. (Pacific).

Here are this week's nominees:

Eddie Enright (Mt. Carmel, IL) (157) – Enright (No. 20) has been building momentum leading into the season with a solid performance at Super 32 and a third-place showing at the Grappler Fall Classic, but Enright saved his biggest win for the finals of the Dan Gable Donnybrook where he won an overtime bout with Super 32 placer Kael Voinovich (Iowa City, No. 18 at 150), 5-3.

Kalob Ybarra (Pomona, CO) (165) – Ybarra led the upper weights for his squad with an 8-0 record at the Battle of the Best Duals. In which his team was crowned champions.

Bekhruz Sadriddinov (Council Rock South, PA) (172) – Sadriddinov (No. 15 at 165) dominated his bracket at the PennStro Kickoff, posting four pins and a 10-2 major decision, including a second-period decking of Talan Hogan (Pennridge, PA) in the finals, 3:16.

Dominic Federici (Wyoming Seminary, PA) (175) – In Saturday’s dual meet with Green Farms Academy from Connecticut, Federici (No. 16) defeated Xavier Giles (No. 17 at 165), 7-3, en route to his team’s victory.

Colin Kelly (Mt. Carmel, IL) (175) – Kelly (No. 15) authored a mild upset of No. 13 Peyton Westpfahl (Liberty, MO). 7-3, in the finals of the Dan Gable Donnybrook.

Cason Howle (Greenwood, SC) (190) – No. 21 Howle won a tight 3-2 match with Conor McCloskey (Buford, GA, No. 25 at 175) in the finals of the Southern Slam.

Cole Mirasola (West Ben West, WI) (285) – Mirasola, who is ranked No. 3 at 215, decided to challenge himself and move up to 285 for the Dan Gable Donnybrook. His finals opponent was No. 2 Dillan Johnson (Joliet Catholic, IL). Johnson held a 4-2 advantage going into the third period, an escape followed by a last-second takedown secured the 5-4 win for Mirasola.
