Washington (WIAA) high school 4A boys basketball state playoffs: Live updates, scores, top performers, bracket updates
The WIAA Class 4A boys championships began Wednesday at 9 a.m. with first-round loser-out games in the Tacoma Dome.

Winners move to the state quarterfinals Thursday to meet teams that had a first-round bye.
Two-time defending state champion Curtis was eliminated during district play, so a new champion will be crowned in 2024. Mount Si is the tournament favorite.

CLASS 4A BOYS SUMMARIES (Bracket)

Final: No. 11 Skyview 55, No. 6 Federal Way 47
Up next: No. 5 Davis at 3:45 p.m. Thursday.
It didn't take long for an upset in the Class 4A boys tournament with Skyview taking down Federal Way, 55-47, in the classification's first game of the day.
The seventh lead change of the game proved to be the last, with Skyview pulling ahead for good.
No team led by double digits until a 48-38 Skyview lead midway through the fourth quarter.
Demaree Collins scored a game-high 21 points to lead the Storm while Gavin Perdue and Malakai Weimer each scored 11.
Federal Way's Mason Thomas led the Eagles with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Final: No. 2 Tahoma 60, No. 10 Jackson 49

It looked like Tahoma had its sights set on tomorrow early on in its game against Jackson as the Bears jumped out to a 13-2 lead in the first quarter of an eventual 60-49 win over the Timberwolves.
The Bears' lead ballooned to as many as 15 points, but the Timberwolves kept hanging around before completely erasing that 15-point deficit to take a lead heading into the fourth quarter.
But with five seniors starting on the floor for Tahoma, the experienced Bears put their foot back on the gas in the fourth quarter. They outscored Jackson 21-6 in the final frame to advance to the quarterfinals and send the Timberwolves home.
Adam Davis caught fire in the second half, scoring 16 of his game-high 26 points. Davis also brought down 12 rebounds and was perfect from beyond the arc, draining six 3-pointers. The Bears also got double figures in scoring from Carter Stonerock who had 16 and Dalton Brown who scored 11.
Ryan Mcferran recorded a double-double for Jackson with 16 points and 17 rebounds. Joey Gosline contributed 15 points for the Timberwolves.

Final: No. 4 Glacier Peak 65, No. 13 Camas 61

Glacier Peak proved Wednesday night that it truly is not how you start, but how you finish.
Facing a 20-point deficit in the first half to Camas, the Grizzlies slowly chipped away at the Papermakers' lead before completely wiping it away in the second half when they tied the game at 51-51 with just over four minutes left in the game.
It was ninth grader Zachary Albright who ended up scoring the game-winning basket for the Grizzlies in the final minute.
Glacier Peak outscored Camas 41-25 in the second half. The Grizzlies were paced on offense by Isaiah Cuellar-Bell who scored a team-high 24 points. Albright had a 14-point, 14-rebound double-double to go with it.
Camas standout guard Beckett Currie scored a game-high 26 points in the loss.

Kentwood erased a seven-point halftime deficit to take down last year's state runners-up in Olympia.
The Conquerors outscored the Bears 30-16 in the second half to advance to the Class 4A quarterfinals Thursday night against Richland.
Brandon Tagle and Blake Stempniak each scored 14 points to lead Kentwood. Tagle drilled a huge 3-pointer with about two minutes left in the game that put Kentwood up for good.
Olympia's Matt Lindblom scored a game-high 15 points in the loss.
