Hanford girls basketball player Lynnea Moran voted WaFd Bank Washington High School Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to the Falcons' record-setter for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Washington High School Athlete of the Week for Jan. 1-Jan. 6!

Congratulations to Hanford's Lynnea Moran for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Washington High School Athlete of the Week for Jan. 1-Jan. 6!

Life in the Mid-Columbia Conference can be a grind, so when you set a school record - it should be hailed. Moran, a senior, erased Hanford's single-game scoring mark from 1994 with her 36-point effort (on 14-of-19 shooting) in a loss at Hermiston. The guard is also quickly approaching 1,000 points for her career.

Moran received 51.4% of the vote, beating out North Central boys basketball standout Eli Williams, who finished second with 23.2%.
