Based on conversations with coaches and statewide media, SBLive ranked the top 10 teams across the state of Washington in Class 4A boys basketball heading into the 2023-24 season:

CLASS 4A BOYS RANKINGS

1. MOUNT SI
Last year’s fifth-place finisher return plenty of weapons including 6-foot-4 all-state guard Trevor Hennig and highly-touted 6-foot-6 sophomore Lattimore Ford, who already has reported offers from WSU and Idaho.
2. DAVIS OF YAKIMA
The 4A CBBN league and district champs didn’t lose any rotational players and are led by junior guard Cesar Hernandez on offense and high-flying league defensive player of the year Blake Garza.
3. RICHLAND
The inside-out combo of guard Josh Woodard and 6-foot-10 post player Luke Westerfield and their combined 30-plus point per game are back for the defending 4A/3A Mid-Columbia Conference champions.
4. TAHOMA
With Dalton Brown (15.4 ppg), Adam Davis (12.6) and Jayden Brown (9.2) back, the Bears return their top three scorers from last year’s squad, making them the undisputed 4A NPSL favorites for the first time.
5. CAMAS
Sharp-shooting guard Beckett Currie returns for the Papermakers along with fellow seniors guard Jace Vanvoorhis and 6-foot-8 junior Ethan Harris, giving the 4A GSHL champions a good shot at state hardware.
6. GONZAGA PREP
The Bullpups return much of their roster after a runner-up finish in the 4A/3A GSL behind Mount Spokane - and fifth-place finish at the state tournament. They are led by all-league guard Henry Sandberg
7. KENTWOOD
Guard-heavy lineup can really light it up, led by junior guard Corey Tita, who can slash and drain 3-pointers. Team had just three seniors last season, finishing 8-5 in the rugged 4A NPSL.
8. PUYALLUP
Young group growing up fast for coach Kevin Olson - and Vikings could be favorites in wide-open 4A SPSL. Balanced lineup gets consistent work from guard Isaiah Sonnetag, but junior Drew Jones is team's most explosive scorer.
9. WOODINVILLE
Best bet to tango with 4A KingCo giant Mount Si, led by the 6-foot-5 duo of Jamison Atwood and Jaiden Blackmon. Falcons get after it under second-year coach Mike Kelly, who came over from Seattle Prep.
10. CURTIS
All-state player of the year Zoom Diallo left to spend his senior season at a California prep school. But the two-time defending state champions return shooting guard Devin Whitten - and have young talent in the pipeline.
First four out: Olympia, Jackson, Kamiakin, Glacier Peak.
