1. NORTH KITSAP

The 2021 state champs, who already have 2A’s best backcourt in seniors Harry Davies (23 ppg) and Cade Orness (20 ppg, 8 apg), get a frontcourt boost with 6-foot-8 sophomore Logan Hudson coming from Central Kitsap.

2. LYNDEN

The two-time defending champions have plenty to replace, but do return guard Anthony Canales, the two-time state tournament MVP, for his senior season - and coach Brian Roper always seems to pull the right strings.

3. ANACORTES

The classification’s top player – junior Davis Fogle – is at the forefront for the Seahawks, who are trying to rebound from being the second seed at state last season but finding an early exit.

4. GRANDVIEW

The Greyhounds return much of the lineup that finished second in the 2A CWAC falling a game short of state, and have already raced to a four wins by nearly 20 points per game.

5. PROSSER

Backcourt brothers Koby and Kory McClure will lead the 2023 semifinalists, who finished fifth at last year's WIAA tournamen, but will need to develop in the frontcourt to get that far again.

6. RENTON

Dennis Johnson III again will direct the Red Hawks’ relentless run-and-pressure attack, along with fellow junior and co-captain Jordan Agosto for the defending 2A KingCo champions.

7. PULLMAN

WIBCA 2A player of the year Jaedyn Brown is gone but the Greyhounds return versatile 6-foot-4 wing Champ Powaukee and 6-10 post Austin Hunt as 2A Greater Spokane League favorites.

8. MARK MORRIS

The Monarchs again will be strong in the backcourt with high-scoring guard Braydon Olson returning alongside fellow all-leaguer Malakai Gray for the reigning state runners-up (and 2A GSHL favorite in 2023-24).

9. ENUMCLAW

All-league forward Karson Holt (also first-team linebacker in football last fall) returns for the defending 2A SPSL champions, who had just three seniors on last season’s team.

10. WEST VALLEY OF SPOKANE

The Greater Spokane League runners-up have all-leaguer Ben Fried back in the backcourt for first-year coach Mike Hamilton, who replaces longtime hall-of-famer Jay Humphrey.

First four out: Cedarcrest, Columbia River, Port Angeles, Selah.
