10. Pushed to overtime against Puyallup, the Skyline defense came up clutch after the Spartans kicked a go-ahead field goal with Jaxon Menold's game-ending interception for the win.
9. Gonzaga Prep put on a show against Sunnyside to keep its season alive and the Bullpups' momentum came from a blocked punt by Jacobe McClelland near the end of the first half that set up a scoring drive.
8. It was a newer face making the play of the game for Woodinville against Decatur with Nour Elgohary coming up with the interception that put the game away - and put the Falcons in the WIAA field.
7. Richland has had its back against the wall the last week with two must-win playoff games, including one at 4A CBBN champion Eastmont where DB Brody Bocek intercepted a pass in the final seconds to sew up a win. (Video by NWCLIFE)
6. Hard to say how many times a team is kicking an extra point from nearly 50 yards out, but Garfield kicker Finn Terry did just that, knocking back a 48-yard PAT for the Bulldogs after penalties pushed the team back.
5. The Marysville-Pilhuck run game was humming all game long against Gig Harbor. Kenai Sinaphet helped the cause with an 81-yard touchdown run that put the Tomahawks up by three scores.
4. Already up big against Glacier Peak, the Mount Si defense made sure to add one more highlight to the reel for the game with defensive lineman Jayden Wells coming up with an interception and running it back 20 yards for a score.
3. There were no issues with the Ridgeline defense last week, forcing seven turnovers against Seattle Prep. One of them was Brodey Shimp finding the ball in his hands for an interception and jogging it in 5 yards for a touchdown.
2. If Emerald Ridge running back Navarre Dixon is running with a full steam ahead, you better wrap him up or get out of the way. Bothell learned the hard way with Dixon running people over on his way to a 41-yard touchdown.
1. How far Skyview will go this postseason partially lies on its standout playmaker Gavin Packer who showed he's a threat anytime he touches the ball, scooping up a kickoff and returning it 99 yards for a touchdown.
