We're nearing the end of the regular season in the Washington high school football season and just like the league races, these games are coming down to the wire.

Teams showed off in Week 7 with huge defensive stops, incredible special-teams play and well-timed scores.

10. Just seconds before reaching halftime, Eastmont quarterback Luke Gale picked up a low snap and fired a 29-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Adrien Ruffins to put the Wildcats up by two scores at Skyline.

9. In Class 2B, Pe Ell/Willapa Valley had the ball late in the game when Blake Howard powered his way across the goal-line for a touchdown and two-point conversion ended up as the game-winner against Raymond/South Bend.

7. In overtime against Kelso, Mountain View denied the Hilanders' game-winning two-point conversion attempt in overtime to all but seal up a 3A GSHL title.

6. Camas rolled the dice on fourth-and-long in Skyview territory in the first half - and the gamble paid off big with a 26-yard touchdown connection from Jake Davidson to Anthony Forner in a 4A GSHL victory.

5. It didn't take long for Yelm to get rolling with its special-teams unit as Anthony Kiamco returned a kickoff for a touchdown and Arlo Henderson ran back a punt in the first quarter in a 3A SSC win against Timberline.

4. Looking to bounce back from back-to-back 4A KingCo losses, Woodinville pulled off a win against Bothell - highlighted by Ryan Bowles' forced fumble that he scooped up and ran back 34 yards for a score.

3. Chiawana wide receiver Justin Webber turned a short catch into a 70-yard touchdown as he turned on the jets and made Southridge defenders miss on his way to the end zone.

2. Putting his elite track speed on display yet again, Mount Spokane's Bode Gardner intercepted two passes against Cheney, dodging defenders at every turn in returning both for touchdowns.

1. Eastlake pulled off a late-game miracle against Mount Si - with Marcus Angiuli recovering an onside kick and Alex Dreher knocking back the game-winning field goal two plays later as time expired in Snoqualmie.
