SBLive’s Top 10 plays of Week 3

10. Clinging to a 7-0 lead, West Valley of Yakima was backed up at its own goal line with Davis threatening to tie the game. On the game's final play, the Rams' defense held the Pirates to lock up the win.

9. With a six-point lead against Glacier Peak, the Ferndale defense needed one last stop with the Grizzlies' offense driving deep in Golden Eagles' territory. Jacob Gandy forced a fumble and Aydin O'Tool recovered to seal the Golden Eagles' win.

8. In a low-scoring affair between 2022 Class 1A playoff programs Mount Baker and Toppenish, a third-quarter interception returned for a touchdown from Hayden Rosse proved to be the difference in a Mountaineers' 13-7 victory.

7. Holding on to a 9-6 lead, Eastlake made plays on defense all game, including this last stop in the final seconds as safety Jack Edmunds got off the turn and picked off Michael Grimmer's pass in the end zone.

6. Playing host to top-ranked Nooksack Valley, the King's Knights pulled off one of the bigger victories of the weekend. The Knights pulled ahead late in the fourth quarter on a 23-yard field goal from Matthew Williams.

5. Emerald Ridge wide receiver Gio Kafentzis found himself in the end zone often in the Jaguars' win over Sumner, but his third touchdown where he jumped and hurdled his way for a 29-yard score was the most impressive.

4. Up big over Sunnyside, the Kennewick defense left no doubt early in the second half when Canaan Hays intercepted a Grizzlies' pass and returned it 70 yards for a touchdown.

3. Needing a spark on offense, Spanaway Lake turned to its electric playmaker in D'Aryhian Clemons, who took a handoff and ran by everyone for a 65-yard touchdown early in the game.

2. To take down the 2A GSHL favorite Washougal, the Woodland offense was going to need some big plays - and it got just that on Elijah Andersen's 84-yard touchdown catch against the Panthers.

1. Northwest Christian of Colbert caught the River View kickoff unit off guard when Elijah McLaughlin took the ball on a reverse and ran it all the way back for a 90-yard touchdown.
