Week 2 of the Washington high school football season saw flashes of just about everything.
Non-league play continued for some while other teams are in the thick of their all-important league games.

10. Trailing Class 3A Bellevue by five points in the fourth quarter, Lake Stevens quarterback Kolton Matson and running back Jayshon Limar connected for a huge gain that set up the eventual game-winning score.
9. What initially looked like it was going to be a short gain for La Center turned into an 18-yard touchdown when Jalen Ward fought off every would-be tackler that came his way before finding the end zone.
8. With Lincoln of Tacoma trailing Tualatin in the second half, quarterback Sione Kaho fired off a pass to Kanoa Teplasy, who laid all the way out in the back of the end zone for the Abes' score.
7. Glacier Peak coach Shane Keck called running back Chrisvin Bonshe a touchdown waiting to happen in the preseason and Bonshe is proving that to be a true statement with his 75-yard score against Camas.
6. Kennedy Catholic's Indy Jones had himself a game against Highline in the "Battle of Burien," finding himself in the end zone three times. But his 31-yard interception return for a touchdown might've been the most impressive of them all.
5. Pushed back deep into its own territory, Union had the ball at its own 10 against Class 3A defending champion Yelm, but Titans' wide receiver Jordan Warren beat everyone, hauling in a pass and doing the rest for a 90-yard touchdown.
4. With a comfortable lead against Spanaway Lake, Mount Si's Brock Gates and CJ Rose left no doubt and put the game away after both hauled in interceptions and returned them for touchdowns in the second quarter.
3. Not a lot went Stanwood's way against Marysville-Pilchuck but Max Mayo gave the Spartans' faithful something to cheer for when he ran a kickoff all the way back for a touchdown.
2. Tumwater went off script in its upset over top-ranked North Kitsap, throwing five touchdown passes as a team that likes to keep things on the ground. The flashiest of them all was a double-pass from Ethan Kastner to David Malroy to Brady Bryant.
1. In any given Kentwood game, you're probably going to see Antoine Lee make a play and the Conqs' game against Peninsula was no different with Lee returning a punt from his own end zone (98 yards) for the game-winning score.
