After talking to coaches around the state, SBLive WA is releasing it Class 4A preseason Top-10 girls volleyball rankings heading into fall season:

1. LAKE STEVENS

Six-time defending 4A Wesco champ and state runner-up returns all-staters Laura Eichert (OH) and Alyss Kelly (libero) in pursuit of first state title.

2. PUYALLUP

The Vikings, the top seed and third-place finisher in 2022, return all-state first-teamers Danielle Brown (MB) and Reese Shepperd (S) to spearhead attack.

3. CURTIS

All-state setter Peyton Ensign is back for the Vikings, who have seven top-five trophies – including one WIAA title – in their past 10 state appearances.

4. CAMAS

Papermakers missed a third state trophy last fall, but top junior Kendall Mairs (OH) and 4A GSHL MVP Halle Reiter (S) should revive the hardware haul.

5. NORTH CREEK

Jaguars boast three PrepDig.com top-25 seniors – EWU commit Quincy Moran (No. 12), Madyn Cervellera (No. 16) and Mariyah Young (No. 24) to lead attack.

6. KAMIAKIN

4A/3A MCC player of the year and second-team all-state setter Rylie Dolven returns as the Braves try to end a 15-year state-trophy drought.

7. GONZAGA PREP

Boise State University commit Lilli Etter (S) is back as Bullpups try to keep up with 3A contenders Mead and Mount Spokane atop 4A/3A GSL.

8. OLYMPIA

Hannah Byers, a 6-foot-2 Cal Poly SLO beach recruit, tops a strong group of seniors for the Bears, who took sixth at state in 2022 and are perennial playoff squad.

9. WENATCHEE

The Panthers again will battle West Valley of Yakima atop 4A CBBN, keyed by a strong junior class, including Maren Stuber (OH) and Eva Jo Berry (S).

10. MOUNT RAINIER

Graduation took its toll on the Rams, fourth at state in 2022, but all-4A NPSL first-teamers Manaia Alefaio-Foifua (L) and Alani Taliloa (OH) are just juniors.

Others: Jackson, Graham-Kapowsin, Kennedy Catholic, Richland, West Valley of Yakima.
