Washington high school volleyball, Class 3A preseason rankings: Mead-Lakeside of Seattle rematch looms?

After talking to coaches around the state, SBLive WA is releasing it Class 3A preseason Top-10 girls volleyball rankings heading into fall season:
---
1. MEAD
All-state setter Brielle Wilson returns for reloaded-and ready Panthers, last year's runners-up after winning title No. 8 in 2021.
2. LAKESIDE OF SEATTLE
Drop-off should be minimal for state champions with all-state libero Victoria Gao and outside hitter Lauryn Coleman back.
3. MOUNT SPOKANE
Wildcats have captured three consecutive top-five state trophies, so tradition should help them overcome loss of several all-leaguers.
4. LAKE WASHINGTON
Kangaroos took eighth at last year’s state tournament as No. 16 seed. With strong senior class back, now the 3A KingCo favorite.
5. PRAIRIE
Senior all-leaguers Emelynn Cecil (DS) and Diamond Doutrive (MB) return for Falcons, who swept 3A GHSL play last season.
6. SILAS
Rams missed out on trophy a season ago, but should have stout attack again, keyed by reigning 3A PCL MVP Ivy Brown.
7. LYNNWOOD
Royals finished a match away from the state trophy round, but did avenge a regular-season loss to Wesco rival and champ Snohomish.
8. SEATTLE PREP
Tied for fourth in deep 3A Metro League, and with all-state MB Tea Bosanac back, the Panthers could make more noise at state.
9. AUBURN RIVERSIDE
Reigning 3A NPSL player of the year Bryanna Dodson returns at setter for the Ravens, alongside several other all-league honorees.
10. PENINSULA
The Seahawks, who went 14-1 in the 3A SSC in 2022, return much of last year’s squad which finished fifth at state.
