SPOKANE, Wash. — The chase for the gold ball continued on Friday at the Spokane Arena with WIAA state semifinal matchups taking place for the 1B and 2B boys classifications.

Here is a breakdown from each game Friday in the 1B and 2B boys brackets. Stay with SBLive all week for updates

1B STATE SEMIFINALS

Final: No. 1 Almira/Coulee-Hartline 52, No. 3 Northwest Yeshiva 43

Up next: ACH vs. No. 2 Cusick on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the 1B final, Northwest Yeshiva vs. No. 5 Sunnyside Christian in a third/fifth place game at 9 p.m.

Might as well continue feeding the big man.

Reece Isaak had another 29 points and 13 rebounds on 11-for-13 shooting. The game plan the first two games has been to find No. 23 and let him work.

And so far, that has worked.

Yeshiva made it interesting midway through the fourth quarter, drawing within seven before the Warriors pulled away.

The Lions were led by Yoel Kintzer and Aryeh Goldberg, who scored 15 points apiece.

ACH also dominated the paint in general, scoring 32 of its 52 points down low and out-rebounding the Lions 41-22.

Final: No. 2 Cusick 59, No. 5 Sunnyside Christian 48

Up next: Cusick vs. No. 1 ACH on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the 1B final, Sunnyside Christian vs. Northwest Yeshiva in a third/fifth place game at 9 p.m.

The Seymour brothers are fun to watch play basketball.

For the second-straight game, Bode and Colton Seymour were the spark-plugs for a very dangerous Panthers team.

Colton had 21 points, nine assists and five rebounds while Bode had seven points, but was electric on the defensive end, menacing the opposing offense.

Cole Wagenaar ran the show for the Knights, scoring 12 points and grabbing five boards.

Louse Cullooyah added 12 points and some well-timed 3s for Cusick.

1B CONSOLATION GAMES

Final: No. 7 Lummi Nation 65, No. 4 Willapa Valley 59

Up next: No. 6 Moses Lake Christian on Saturday at 8 a.m. in a fourth/sixth place game

The Vikings earned the four seed to state, with a first-round bye, but lost their first two games to be eliminated.

Duncan Toby’s 22 points (10 rebounds) and Tyran Lane’s 20 points (12 rebounds) made sure that the Blackhawks were the ones to advance.

The difference was made at the charity stripe as Lummi Nation went 24-of-29 from the line, while the Vikings only attempted nine, making six.

Willapa Valley did lead after the third quarter, but the Blackhawks used their physicality in the final frame to dominate the last eight minutes.

Riley Pearson’s 19 points led the Vikings.

Final: No. 6 Moses Lake Christian/Covenant Christian 55, No. 8 DeSales 41

Up next: No. 7 Lummi Nation on Saturday at 8 a.m. in a fourth/sixth place game

Leading by two entering the final quarter, the Lions leaned on Pierre Boorman and Jonah Robertson as they outscored the Irish by 12.

Boorman had 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting and knocked down three 3s. He also grabbed eight boards. Robertson had 14 points and four steals.

The Irish’s Jack Lesko had 19 points and leading scorer Joe Baffney had six points in 13 minutes.

DeSales struggled to get anything going from distance, shooting 3-of-22 from behind the arc.

2B STATE SEMIFINALS

Final: No. 4 Brewster 56, No. 1 Kalama

Up next: Brewster vs. No. 2 Liberty in the 2B final on Saturday at 3 p.m., Kalama vs. No. 5 Morton-White Pass in a third/fifth place game at 1 p.m.

A gutsy performance from a hobbled Kelson Gebbers was the more impressive thing to see at this tournament.

A day after leaving a game after three minutes, Gebbers appeared destined for the bench the rest of the tournament as he was on the trainers table before the game getting his left ankle re-taped.

He finished with 11 points, but was an immediate morale boost off the bench. Brady Wulf led the team with 14 points, draining four 3s.

Kalama relied on Jackson Esary who had 25 points and snatched 11 boards. He went 11-for-26 from the floor.

Final: No. 2 Liberty, No. 5 Morton-White Pass

Up next: Liberty vs. No. 4 Brewster in the 2B final on Saturday at 3 p.m., Morton vs. No. 1 Kalama in a third/fifth place game at 1 p.m.

A pacy and physical game, Tayshawn Colvin adjusted to the speed quicker than the rest of the players on the floor.

His ability to breakdown his defender and find a good shot in the paint is what kept the Lancers on the front foot as the Timberwolves couldn’t slow the senior down.

Colvin finished with 34 points on 10-of-19 shooting. Lincoln and London Foland combined for 31 points, 18 of which came from the behind the arc.

For Morton, Leytan Collette had 24 points and nine rebounds. Gary Dotson added 11 points and 11 rebounds.

2B CONSOLATION GAMES

Final: No. 10 Columbia 61, No. 11 Toutle Lake 47

Up next: No. 3 Colfax on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in a fourth/sixth place game.

The Ducks attempted to climb back into the game, but the Coyotes had other ideas.

Utilizing a defense focusing on Zach Swanson – who still finished with 24 points – the Coyotes forced the other Ducks to beat them.

The result was 23 points among the rest of the team.

Columbia was led by Parker Nelson and his 19 points and Tristan Frimodt’s 17 points.

The Coyotes also utilized a faster tempo, scoring eight fast break points to Toutle Lake’s zero.

Final: No. 3 Colfax 79, No. 9 Lake Roosevelt

Up next: No. 10 Columbia on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in a fourth/sixth place game.

John Lustig nailed two late go-ahead free throws to move the Bulldogs onto the next round.

Carsen Grey also took a charge with two seconds left to seal the result.

Lustig finished with 36 points on 14-of-16 shooting, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out seven assists.

All five Lake Roosevelt starters reached double figures, with Chase Clark leading the Raiders with 23 points.

Seth Lustig added 15 points for the Bulldogs.
