Freedom has won 28 consecutive games, but the Eagles will have their hands full with defending Class 5 state champion Highland Springs, which has only lost one game since making the jump up to Class 6 this season.

With 28 consecutive victories, it is safe to say they are the favorite coming into Saturday's showdown with Highland Springs.
Highland Springs (13-1)
After defeating Maury in last year's Class 5 state title game, the Springers moved up to Class 6 this year and have beaten all their opponents except that same Maury team when the two met for the rematch in early September.
If they can end Freedom's 28-game winning streak in Saturday's state title game, they will make quite the statement in their first year in the VHSL's highest classification.
