BELLA FLEMINGS, BRENNAN AVENGE CLARK

Bella Flemings is her

The five-star sophomore dropped a career-high 47 points, including a buzzer-beating triple-contested floater to force double-overtime, where the Bears beat Clark 80-73 to advance to next week's state semifinals at the Alamodome, avenging a loss to the defending 6A champs a year ago on the same stage.

Down two in the final seconds of overtime, Flemings hit an off-balance, fadeaway floater as time expired to force 2OT.

DUNCANVILLE STUNS DESOTO IN BATTLE OF NATIONAL POWERS

In the world of Texas high school sports, the Duncanville-DeSoto rivalry is nothing new – and provided another entry into its storied rivalry on Saturday.

The Panthers beat DeSoto 46-39, booking a 6A semifinal matchup with nationally ranked South Grand Prairie in San Antonio next week.

Duncanville led by five at half and extended that lead to 10 after three. They were led by 13 points from senior forward Mariah Clayton and 10 from Chloe Mann.

SOUTH GRAND PRAIRIE VS. BOSWELL

South Grand Prairie backed up its SBLive/Sports Illustrated national rankings debut.

The winners of 16 consecutive games hit all six of its fourth quarter shot attempts to help pull away and beat Boswell by 15 points on Saturday.

Erica Carr scored a team-high 13 as the Warriors (31-3) reached its third state trip in four seasons without South Carolina-committed center Adhel Tac. The five-star and No. 26 rated prospect in the country suffered a season-ending knee injury in November.

SUMMER CREEK THUMPS FORT BENCH HIGHTOWER

Zachara Perkins finished with 19 points, dive boards and four assists as Summer Creek blew out Fort Bend Hightower to advance to the state semifinals.

Mariyah Brown added 15 points and seven boards.

The Bulldogs' regional final win was much less dramatic than its two-possession regional semifinal win over Seven Lakes, which was decided in the waning moments.
