Texas high school state wrestling news, notes: Allen wins fourth straight girls title
West Texas dominates 5A, plus every Texas high school wrestler who finished undefeated in 2023-24
The Texas high school wrestling championships took place over two action-packed days at the Berry Center in Cypress, Texas and champions were crowned for Class 5A and 6A boys and girls on Saturday.
The Allen boys fell short of a state championship for the first time in 14 years as Arlington Martin claimed the 6A boys title, but the Allen girls won for a fourth straight year.
Amarillo Tascosa edged out Lucas Lovejoy by three points to win the 5A boys title and Lubbock Cooper ran away with the 5A girls title.
