North Shore fell to Duncanville in the state final last year and has looked like a team on a mission to return to the big game and take home a state championship this season.

Deer Park has only lost one game this year and would love the chance to upset the Mustangs and knock off a goliath to make a statement and advance to the next round of the postseason.

North Shore 10-0

Currently ranked No. 9 in the national high school football rankings and No. 2 in the Texas football rankings, the Mustangs have proven all year that they are worthy of being one of the top-ranked teams in the nation and state.

Dominant on both sides of the ball, North Shore hasn't faced a true test all season and has an average margin of victory of more than 33 points per game through their first 10 games.

Deer Park (9-1)

Deer Park's lone loss was by three points in Week 5, and outside of that game they haven't had a close call against any other opponent this season.

The Deer have a high-powered offense, but to pull off the upset against North Shore, their defense will have to figure out how to slow down a team averaging more than 47 points per game this year.
