Texas high school football Week 11 is officially in the books.

Each week throughout the season, SBLive is taking a look at the top high school football performers across the Lone Star State. We gathered the best of the best, separated offense from defense, and now it’s your turn to cast your vote on a winner.

Here are SBLive’s Texas Defensive Football Player of the Week nominees for November 2-4. Scroll down to read about this week’s list and cast your vote in the poll below. Voting remains open until Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Central time.

TEXAS DEFENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL NOMINEES

Damian Barragan, sr., Sunray

Barragan snagged two interceptions for Sunray in a 22-0 victory against Vega.

Marco Beltran, soph., College Park

In addition to making 11 tackles, Beltran had two fumble recoveries and an interception as College Park lost to Conroe, 49-28.

Jermaine Bishop, soph., Willis

Bishop helped Willis cap off an undefeated regular season with a pick-six in the third quarter of a 49-35 win over Oak Ridge.

Trenton Burkhalter, jr., Klein Forest

Burkhalter had nine tackles, including three tackles for loss and one sack, and blocked a kick as Klein Forest won 17-14 over Klein Oak.

Robbie Burslem, sr., Savio

Burslem tallied seven tackles, including two tackles for loss and two sacks, as Savio won 61-19 against Village.

Wyatt Davis, jr., Lake Creek

Davis intercepted three passes for Lake Creek in a 39-21 victory against Brenham.

Brandon Jones, Summer Creek

Jones had two interceptions, one of which he returned 43 yards for a touchdown, as Summer Creek took down Atascocita, 45-28.

Ivy Kelley, sr., Wichita Falls

One of the state’s leading tacklers, Kelley finished with a season-high 22 tackles and recovered a fumble in a 64-21 loss to Springtown.

Alijah Lash, soph., Eaton

Lash recorded three sacks as Eaton fell just short against Byron Nelson, 43-36.

Boone Morris, sr., Mount Vernon

Morris made 20 tackles, including two tackles for loss, as Mount Vernon earned a 45-38 win over Pottsboro.

Kason Nowak, sr., Bridgeland

Nowak racked up five sacks on seven tackles as Bridgeland took down Cypress Springs, 48-17.

Isaac Richardson, soph., Memorial

Richardson registered 11 tackles, including two tackles for loss and two sacks, as Memorial

Lyric Smith, sr., Clarendon

Smith posted 19 tackles, including two tackles for loss, and he had an interception as Clarendon won 36-20 against Wellington.

Guy Stern, jr., Parish Episcopal

Stern came up with two interceptions in the first half of the Panthers’ 49-40 victory against Prestonwood Christian.
