One week after beating formerly undefeated Duncanville, the DeSoto Eagles will have the chance to complete a perfect regular season Thursday night when they take on the Mansfield Tigers in Mansfield.

As the No. 6 team in the national rankings, DeSoto earned the title of the top team in Texas last week with a 49-35 win over Duncanville.
Now, the Eagles will look to finish their regular season a perfect 9-0 when they face off with Mansfield on Thursday in one final league battle.

DeSoto (8-0, 6-0 6A - Region 2 - District 1)
Until last week, the Eagles were considered by many to be the second-best team in Texas.
Now, they need just one more win to complete a perfect regular season, and they'll be facing a Mansfield team they beat 28-16 last year.
Mansfield (6-3, 3-3)
The Tigers are a big underdog in this game, but they have a chance to shake up the national rankings if they can somehow pull off the upset.
To do so, they'll need to figure out how to slow down a DeSoto team that is averaging more than 50 points per game this season.
