North Shore downs Atascocita: Texas high school football game updates
With Friday night's battle between the state's top two teams Duncanville and DeSoto postponed due to storms in the Dallas area, all eyes in Texas turned to another Texas high school top-10 showdown taking place in the Houston area.
North Shore, ranked No. 3 in Texas, hosted No. 7 Atascocita in one of the state's biggest games of the year — one with massive implications on the race for the top spot in District 21-6A and potential impact on the national top 25 rankings.
The Mustangs built an early lead and pulled away for a 61-37 win.
North Shore (9-0, 6-0) which entered the matchup No. 10 in the SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25 national rankings, raced past Atascocita for a 61-35 victory.
North Shore quarterback Kaleb Bailey finished with five touchdowns (four passing, one rushing), and wide receiver Terrence Guillory caught three touchdowns in the Mustangs' win. Five-star cornerback Devin Sanchez scored the first touchdown of the game with a pick-six.

FOURTH QUARTER
