North Shore (8-0, 5-0 6A - R3, D21)

With eight straight wins to begin the season, North Shore has shown it clearly deserves to remain one of the top-ranked teams in the nation.

The Mustangs have yet to allow more than 24 points in a game this year and they have a high-powered offense that is averaging more than 44 points per contest in 2023.

Atascocita (8-0, 5-0)

The Eagles might not get all the fanfare that North Shore does, but they are the No. 7 ranked team in the state of Texas for good reason.

They have made the regional finals in three of the past four years, and with nine returning starters, they're looking to make it even further this year and make a statement against their rivals Friday night.
