Texas high school football schedule: Week 7 (10/5/23 - 10/7/23)
Week 7 of the Texas high school football schedule gets underway with a full slate of games kicking off Thursday (October 5) and continuing through Saturday (October 7).
One of the best games of Week 7 features the Duncanville Panthers -- the No. 6 ranked team in the SBLive/SI Top 25 national rankings and the top-ranked team in the Top 25 Texas high school football rankings -- matching up against the 4-1 Waxahachie Indians in a Class 6A district showdown.
Waxahachie has averaged more than 38 points over its last three games, but the Indian offense may hit a roadblock Friday against a Panther defense that has shut out its last three opponents and allowed just 13 points all season.
Another must-see game this week pairs undefeated and nationally-ranked North Shore against a fellow undefeated opponent in another Class 6A league battle.
The Mustangs are ranked No. 3 in the state and No. 10 in the nation, but will have their hands full this week against Summer Creek, which has won all five of its games this season by an average margin of victory of 28.2 points.
