Lovejoy star Parker Livingstone commits to Texas Longhorns: 'I'm damn proud to be a Texan'

Four-star receiver shares childhood pictures in Longhorn gear in commitment video

Lucas Lovejoy (Texas) four-star wide receiver Parker Livingstone is staying home.

And proud of it.

The 6-foot-4, 190-pound pass-catcher committed to Texas on Saturday morning, choosing to stay in the Lone Star State over Arkansas, LSU, South Carolina and Texas A&M.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, he's the No. 50 ranked prospect in Texas and the No. 45 wide receiver in the country.

"I was born in Texas, raised in Texas and I'm damn proud to be a Texan. It's time to get to work and win championships for the great state of Texas."

He took official visits to South Carolina, Arkansas, LSU and finally Texas in June, sticking in line with his plan set in the spring

Livingstone turned 52 catches into 908 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior, helping Lovejoy reach the second round of the UIL Class 5A Division II playoffs. He averaged 17.4 yards per catch. A true multi-sport standout, Livingston also plays baseball and was a track standout as a sophomore.

He was named the District 7-5A Division II Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore after catching for more than 900 receiving yards.
