Kate Bubela, El Campo SS

Bubela — a North Carolina Tar Heels signee — was 3-for-5 hitting (.600 AVG) with five RBI, three walks, two extra-base hits, two SBs, two sac flies, a run scored, a home run, a double and a .600 OBP in a 2-0 sweep in the bi-district round of the Class 4A UIL softball playoffs, with a 10-2 win and a 16-6 victory against Freeport Brazosport.

Isabella Flores, Wylie East INF/P

Flores was 4-for-10 hitting (.400 AVG) with five RBI, two runs scored, two extra-base hits, a home run, a triple, a walk and a .417 OBP in a best-of-three series victory over Tyler Legacy in the bi-district round of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs, which included an 8-3 win, a 2-0 loss and a 4-1 victory for Wylie East.

Teresa Mendez, Idalou 3B

Mendez was 7-for-8 hitting (.875 AVG) with eight RBI, five extra-base hits, four runs scored, two triples, two doubles, a home run, a sac fly and an .778 OBP in a best-of-three series sweep over Canadian in the bi-district round of the Class 3A UIL softball playoffs, which included an 10-0 win and a 22-1 victory for Idalou.

She also hit for the cycle in the Wildcats’ 22-1 victory against Canadian, finishing a 4-for-4 day at the plate with five RBI and four runs scored.

Lily Rulison, Winnsboro UTL/OF

Rulison was 6-for-8 hitting (.750 AVG) with nine RBI, four runs scored, four extra-base hits, two doubles, a home run, a triple and a .750 OBP in a best-of-three series sweep over Redwater in the bi-district round of the Class 3A UIL softball playoffs, which included a 19-5 victory and a 4-2 win for the Red Raiders.

Hannah Wells, Coahoma P

Wells was 2-for-4 hitting (.500 AVG) with seven RBI, two extra-base hits, a run scored, a home run, a double and a .500 OBP in a 12-0 win over Blooming Grove in the bi-district round of the Class 3A UIL softball playoffs.

She also picked up a win in the circle in the Bulldogs’ victory against Blooming Grove after throwing for 11 Ks, one hit allowed, zero walks and a .062 OBA through 5.0 scoreless innings pitched for Coahoma.

Reagan Jennings, Humble Atascocita 3B/SS

Jennings was 4-for-8 hitting (.500 AVG) with six RBI, four runs scored, four extra-base hits, two triples, two doubles, a walk and a .556 OBP in a best-of-three series sweep against Pasadena Memorial in the bi-district round of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs, which included an 14-0 win and an 18-3 victory for Atascocita.

Carolyn Koval, Amarillo River Road 1B/P

Koval was 5-for-6 hitting (.833 AVG) with eight RBI, five runs scored, four extra-base hits, two HRs, two doubles, two walks, two SBs and an .875 OBP in a best-of-three series victory over Slaton in the bi-district round of the Class 3A UIL softball playoffs, which included a 23-1 win and a 5-4 victory for River Road.

She also picked up a win and a save in the circle after making appearances in both of the Wildcats’ victories over Slaton, throwing for eight Ks, five walks, one hit allowed, one unearned run allowed and a .053 OBA through 6.0 innings pitched.

Tatem Pendergraft, Amarillo 2B/SS/P

Pendergraft was 7-for-10 hitting (.700 AVG) with nine RBI, seven runs scored, five extra-base hits, four HRs, a double, a walk and a .727 OBP in a best-of-three series victory over Lubbock Cooper in the bi-district round of the Class 5A UIL softball playoffs, which included an 4-2 loss, a 15-9 win and a 7-6 victory for Amarillo.

Cameron Pope, Mt. Vernon OF/2B

Pope was 6-for-7 hitting (.857 AVG) with six runs scored, five RBI, three SBs, two extra-base hits, a home run, a double, a walk and an .875 OBP in a best-of-three series victory over Fort Bend Travis in the bi-district round of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs, which included a 2-0 win and an 11-2 victory for Cinco Ranch.

Delaney Gray, Longview Spring Hill P

Gray powered her team to a 3-1 week with four consecutive appearances in the circle, pitching the Panthers to a 3-0 win over Gilmer in their regular-season finale and a best-of-three series victory against Jacksonville in the bi-district round of the Class 4A UIL softball playoffs, which included a 6-2 loss, a 6-3 victory and an 8-1 series-clinching win for Spring Hill.

She earned three wins in the circle through four straight complete-game efforts against Gilmer and Jacksonville, throwing for 37 strikeouts, 22 hits allowed, 16 walks, six earned runs allowed and a .208 OBA through 27.0 innings pitched for the Panthers. Gray was also 2-for-9 hitting (.222 AVG) with five walks, two RBI, a run scored, a home run, a stolen base and a .500 OBP for Spring Hill offensively.

Savannah Carter, Klein Collins P

Carter pitched a gem in the circle to lead Collins to a 3-1 victory over Cypress Ranch in the bi-district round of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs after throwing for 16 Ks, four hits allowed, one walk, one earned run allowed and a .108 OBA through 10.0 innings pitched for the Tigers

Janelle Wilson, Friendswood P

Wilson picked up a pair of wins in the circle during the Mustangs’ best-of-three series victory over Goose Creek Memorial in the bi-district round of the Class 5A UIL softball playoffs, which included a 7-0 victory and a 10-0 win for Friendswood. She threw for 19 strikeouts, four walks, two hits allowed and a .063 OBA through 10.0 scoreless innings pitched, while also going 1-for-7 hitting (.143 AVG) with a solo home run offensively.

Taylor Gillispie, Troup P/SS/3B

Gillispie hurled a complete-game shutout and a complete-game no-hitter in back-to-back appearances in the circle during Troup’s best-of-three series victory over New Diana in the bi-district round of the Class 3A UIL softball playoffs, which included an 3-0 win and a 6-0 win for the Tigers.

She threw for 22 strikeouts, four hits allowed, two walks and an .082 OBA through 14.0 scoreless innings pitched. Gillispie was also 3-for-7 hitting (.429 AVG) with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base at the plate.

Kiley Flores, Corpus Christi Carroll P/SS

Flores was 5-for-7 hitting (.714 AVG) with four RBI, four doubles, a run scored and a .625 OBP in a best-of-three series victory over Mission Veterans in the bi-district round of the Class 5A UIL softball playoffs, which included an 7-0 win and a 5-1 victory for Carroll.

She also picked up a pair of wins in back-to-back appearances in the circle during the Tigers’ series victory over Mission Vets, throwing for nine hits allowed, five Ks, three walks, one earned run allowed and a .191 OBA through 14.0 innings pitched.

Rachel Lawyer, Rockwall OF

Lawyer was 4-for-5 hitting (.800 AVG) with five RBI, five runs scored, four extra-base hits, two walks, two triples, a home run, a double and an .857 OBP in a best-of-three series victory over Garland in the bi-district round of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs, which included a 14-2 win and an 8-3 victory for Rockwall.

Alexia Sanchez, Refugio P

Sanchez shined in back-to-back wins in the circle for the Bobcats during their best-of-three series victory over Freer in the bi-district round of the Class 2A UIL softball playoffs, which included an 8-1 win and a 4-0 victory. She threw for 27 strikeouts and three walks with four hits allowed, one unearned run allowed and a .085 OBA through 14.0 innings pitched for Refugio.

Larissa Jacquez, Eagle Pass P

Jacquez tossed a complete-game no-hitter to lead Eagle Pass to a 1-0 win over San Antonio Taft in the bi-district round of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs, throwing for 13 strikeouts and five walks in 7.0 shutout innings pitched for the Eagles.

Tristian Thompson, Waco Midway 1B/3B

Thompson — an Indiana Hoosiers signee — was 8-for-11 hitting (.727 AVG) with nine RBI, five runs scored, four extra-base hits, three HRs, a triple, a walk and a .750 OBP in a best-of-three series victory over Mansfield in the bi-district round of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs, which included a 3-2 loss, a 24-10 win and an 11-1 victory for Midway.

Thalia Reyes, San Antonio O’Connor P

Reyes picked up wins in back-to-back appearances in the circle during reigning state champion O’Connors’ best-of-three series sweep over Laredo Alexander after throwing for 17 Ks, five hits allowed, two walks and a .161 OBA through 9.1 scoreless innings pitched in a 10-0 victory and a 7-0 win for the Panthers.

Sydney Palomo, Houston Heights 3B/1B/SS

Palomo was 5-for-7 hitting (.714 AVG) with seven RBI, four runs scored, a home run and a .714 OBP in a best-of-three series victory over Houston Stratford in the bi-district round of the Class 6A UIL softball playoffs, which included a 12-2 win and a 14-3 victory for the Bulldogs.


BASEBALL

Logan Jenkins, Collinsville P/INF

Jenkins was 7-for-9 hitting (.778 AVG) with nine RBI, three SBs, two runs scored, a double and a .778 OBP in a 22-0 victory over Trenton and a 10-0 win against Trenton.

Noah Paddie, Carthage 2B/OF

Paddie — a Baylor Bears signee — was 3-for-6 hitting (.500 AVG) with five RBI, four runs scored, three SBs, two extra-base hits, a triple, a double, a walk, a sac fly and a .500 OBP in an 11-0 win over Center and a 14-1 victory against Center.

Josh Bass, Bushland SS/P

Bass was 7-for-9 hitting (.778 AVG) with nine RBI, five runs scored, three extra-base hits, two doubles, a home run, a stolen base and a .778 OBP in a 19-0 victory over Dimmitt and a 27-0 win against Dalhart.

He also earned a win on the mound in the Falcons’ victory against Dalhart after throwing for three Ks, two walks, one hit allowed and a .077 OBA through 4.0 scoreless innings pitched.

Carter Williams, Canyon Lake P/INF

Williams was 3-for-6 hitting (.500 AVG) with seven RBI, three runs scored, two HRs, a walk and a .571 OBP in an 11-1 victory against Bandera and an 8-0 win over Bandera.

Nik Sanders, Waco University C/OF/UTL

Sanders was 5-for-7 hitting (.714 AVG) with five RBI, four runs scored, three extra-base hits, a home run, a triple, a double, a walk, a stolen base and a .625 OBP in a 7-1 victory over Waco High and a 16-2 win against Waco High.

Jermod McCoy, Whitehouse OF/UTL

McCoy was 5-for-5 hitting (1.000 AVG) with five RBI, four SBs, three runs scored, a double, a walk and a 1.000 OBP in a 6-2 victory over Longview and a 12-1 win against Marshall.

Julius Ramirez, PSJA High C

Ramirez — a UTRGV Vaqueros signee — was 6-for-11 hitting (.545 AVG) with 11 RBI, three runs scored, three HRs (one grand slam), two walks and a .615 OBP in a 6-0 win over Mission, a 24-0 victory against Edinburg and a 9-5 win against La Joya.

Erik Aguirre, Deer Park OF/P

Aguirre was 5-for-7 hitting (.714 AVG) with five runs scored, four RBI, three extra-base hits, two doubles, a triple, a walk and a .750 OBP in a 10-1 victory over South Houston and an 18-3 win against South Houston.

Kade Davis, Cedar Park P/1B/OF

Davis was 7-for-9 hitting (.778 AVG) with three RBI, three runs scored, a double, a walk and an .800 OBP in a 12-11 victory over Leander Rouse and a 7-0 win against Leander Rouse.

He also earned a win on the mound in the Timberwolves’ 7-0 victory against Rouse after throwing for 10 strikeouts, two hits allowed, one walk and a .083 OBA through 7.0 scoreless innings pitched.

Legend Fugett, Melissa SS/2B

Fugett was 4-for-8 hitting (.500 AVG) with four RBI, three runs scored, three extra-base hits, two HRs, a double and a .500 OBP in an 8-6 victory over McKinney North and a 6-2 win against McKinney North.

Bryson Bentley, Arlington Martin 1B/OF/P

Bentley was 4-for-6 hitting (.667 AVG) with seven RBI, four extra-base hits, three doubles, two runs scored, a triple and a .667 OBP in a 13-0 victory against Arlington Bowie and a 10-0 win over Arlington Bowie.

Charlie Atkinson, Katy Cinco Ranch UTL/P

Atkinson — a Dallas Baptist Patriots signee — was 4-for-7 hitting (.571 AVG) with six RBI, three extra-base hits, two runs scored, two HRs, a double and a .571 OBP in an 11-7 victory over Katy Seven Lakes and a 7-1 win against Katy Seven Lakes.

Peyton Marchand, Holliday C/P

Marchand was 8-for-8 hitting (1.000 AVG) with six RBI, five SBs, four runs scored, four extra-base hits, two triples, a home run, a double, a walk and a 1.000 OBP in a 15-6 victory over Henrietta and a 6-0 win against Jacksboro.

He also tallied a victory on the mound in the Eagles’ victory against Jacksboro after throwing for 14 strikeouts, three hits allowed, one walk and a .125 OBA through 7.0 shutout innings pitched for Holliday.

Parker Hutyra, Birdville P

Hutyra — an Oklahoma Sooners signee — earned a win on the mound after hurling a complete-game shutout in the Hawks’ 9-0 victory against Lake Dallas, throwing for 15 strikeouts, two hits allowed, zero walks and an .087 OBA through 7.0 scoreless innings pitched.

Landon Hutcheson, Wolfforth Frenship P/OF

Hutcheson was 6-for-10 hitting (.600 AVG) with five RBI, five runs scored, five extra-base hits, three doubles, a home run, a triple and a .600 OBP in a 4-1 win over San Angelo Central, an 8-3 victory over San Angelo Central and a 13-0 win against San Angelo Central.

Adrian Baston, Corsicana OF

Baston was 6-for-7 hitting (.857 AVG) with five RBI, four runs scored, three extra-base hits, two walks, two SBs, two triples, a double, a walk and an .889 OBP in a 10-0 victory over Terrell and an 8-1 win against Terrell.

RJ Ruais, Celina OF/P/1B

Ruais — a Baylor Bears signee — was 4-for-10 hitting (.400 AVG) with four RBI, three runs scored, two SBs, a home run, a walk, a sac fly and a .417 OBP in a 10-0 victory over Anna, a 7-3 win against Anna and a 4-3 win over Lucas Lovejoy in eight innings.

He also earned a win on the mound in the Bobcats’ victory against Lovejoy after throwing for five strikeouts, four hits allowed, one walk, one earned run allowed and a .190 OBA through 6.0 innings pitched.

Jacob Macias, Aldine MacArthur SS/P

Macias was lights out on the mound for MacArthur during the opening game of a two-game series sweep of Aldine Davis to wrap up District 14-6A play, throwing for 12 strikeouts, four hits allowed, three walks, one earned run allowed and a .154 OBA in 6.2 innings pitched.

He was also 2-for-7 hitting (.286 AVG) with an RBI, a walk and a .375 OBP in a 4-2 victory over Aldine Davis and a 7-3 win against Aldine Davis.

Aaron Montanez, Fort Worth Arlington Heights OF/P/1B

Montanez was 3-for-6 hitting (.500 AVG) with four RBI, two extra-base hits, a triple, a double, a walk, a stolen base and a .571 OBP in a 15-3 victory over Everman and a 3-0 win against Everman.

He also earned a win on the mound in the Yellowjackets’ 15-3 victory against the Bulldogs after striking out eight without allowing a hit or walk through 3.0 scoreless innings pitched.

Xaden Trevizo, Clint Horizon INF/P

Trevizo was 4-for-8 hitting (.500 AVG) with six RBI, two runs scored, a home run and a .500 OBP in an 11-3 victory against El Paso Hanks and a 6-1 win over El Paso Hanks.
