Texas high school baseball playoffs: 2022 UIL Baseball State Tournament scores, updates (June 9)

Scores and updates from Class 1A, 2A and 4A state championship games and 5A state semifinal matchups at the 2022 Texas (UIL) High School Baseball State Tournament on Thursday (June 9) in Austin and Round Rock

The sixth and seventh rounds of the Texas high school baseball playoffs roll on Thursday (June 9) with the state’s top teams meeting in Austin and Round Rock to compete in the 2022 UIL Baseball State Tournament.

The final 24 teams standing across the Lone Star State will duel for six state championships during a four-day stretch at Disch-Falk Field on the campus of the University of Texas and Dell Diamond, home of the AAA Round Rock Express.

UIL state tournament action continues Thursday (June 9) with a trio of state semifinal title games in Class 1A, 2A and 4A and a pair of Class 5A state semifinals:

• Class 1A state championship — Nazareth Swifts (21-1) vs. D’Hanis Cowboys (27-3), 9 a.m. at Dell Diamond in Round Rock
• Class 2A state championship — Valley Mills Eagles (29-2-2) vs. Shiner Comanches (34-0), Noon at Dell Diamond in Round Rock
• Class 5A state semifinal — Friendswood Mustangs (29-7-1) vs. Mansfield Legacy Broncos (32-9), 4 p.m. at Dell Diamond in Round Rock
• Class 4A state championship — Argyle Eagles (35-3-1) vs. Sinton Pirates (35-1), 6:30 p.m. at Disch-Falk Field in Austin
• Class 5A state semifinal — Georgetown Eagles (33-7) vs. Frisco Wakeland Wolverines (25-13), 7 p.m. at Dell Diamond in Round Rock
