Roy Ravenell, Southside Christian
Ravenell’s Tigers knocked off top-seeded Calhoun County, 21-7, in a second round SCHSL 1A state playoff game.
Brian Smith, Barnwell
Smith’s Warhorses captured an exciting 31-25 win over Marion in the second round of the SCHSL 2A playoffs. Barnwell now travels to Oceanside Collegiate on Friday.
Victor Floyd, Chester
Floyd led the second-seeded Cyclones to a rout of top-seeded Chapman, 58-24, in the second round of the SCHSL 3A playoffs
Greg Porter, Greenville
Porter’s Red Raiders continued their surprising run in 4A SCHSL state playoffs. After pummeling South Aiken, 63-7, in the opening round, 8th-seeded Greenville topped top-seeded Greer, 24-21, in the second round last Friday.
Marcus Surratt, Lancaster
Surratt’s Bruins are the talk of the 4A SCHSL playoffs. After topping 4th-seeded Ridge View in the opening round, Lancaster raced past 5th-seeded Lucy Beckham in the second round, 38-20.
