We have seven athletes nominated this week for SBLive’s Lower State South Carolina Defensive Football Player of the Week from Nov. 2-3 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week’s nominations:

Christopher Dolloff, West Ashley

The Wildcats’ safety had two interceptions in a 30-21 come-from-behind win over Goose Creek in the first round of the 5-A state playoffs.

Jamauri Davis, Carolina Forest

Davis returned an interception 68 yards for a touchdown in the Panthers’ 42-14 win over St. James in the first round of the 5-A state playoffs. It was his fourth interception of the season.

Trevon Coleman, Calhoun County

Coleman returned an interception for a touchdown in the Saints’ 62-0 rout of Whitmire to open the 1-A state playoffs.

JoJo Crim, Camden

Crim returned an interception for a touchdown as the Bulldogs rolled to victory in their first-round state playoff game.

Robert Myers, Lucy Beckham

Myers had 11 tackles in Lucy Beckham’s 37-7 win over West Florence in the first round of the 4-A state playoffs.

Bryce Smalls, Philip Simmons

Smalls had a whopping 17 tackles and caused a fumble in the Iron Horses’ 48-22 win over Manning in the first round of the 3-A state playoffs.

Jamie Downing, Bamberg-Ehrhardt

Downing had an interception in the Red Raiders’ playoff win.
