We have seven athletes nominated this week for SBLive’s Lower State South Carolina Defensive Football Player of the Week from Oct. 19-20 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Amir McKnight, Stratford
McKnight returned an interception for a touchdown in Stratford’s 37-6 win over Berkeley.
Justin Bellamy, Atlantic Collegiate
The 6-foot-3 junior end returned a fumble for a touchdown and had two sacks as the Armada blanked Thornwell Charter 28-0 for their first-ever varsity win.
Kerron Scott, Calhoun County
Scott returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown in the Saints’ 55-6 romp over Ridge Spring-Monetta.
Jonathan Tumbri, Hanahan
Tumbri recovered a fumble and made three tackles as the Hawks upset previously undefeated Philip Simmons 37-34.
Anthony Addison, Sumter
The 6-foot-4 junior end had 9 tackles, including 2 for loss, and a sack in the Gamecocks’ 42-14 win over St. James.
Jameson Berry, Florence Christian
Berry intercepted a pass, recovered a fumble and made seven tackles in Florence Christian’s 34-0 win over First Baptist.
Caleb Ulmer, Beaufort
Ulmer returned a fumble 30 yards for a touchdown in the Eagles’ 54-12 win over North Charleston.
