We have 10 athletes nominated this week for SBLive’s Upper State South Carolina Offensive Football Player of the Week from Oct. 5-6 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominations:

K.D. Patterson, T.L. Hanna

Patterson turned in a big-time performance by carrying 20 times for 226 yards and 6 touchdowns in the Yellow Jackets’ 56-35 win over J.L. Mann. That effort put him over 1,000 yards for the season.

Luke Gray, Pendleton

The Bulldogs’ quarterback was 29-of-43 for 326 yards and 5 touchdowns in a 42-28 win over Seneca. Gray also had a rushing touchdown.

Brayden Johnson, St. Joseph’s Catholic

Johnson ran for 168 yards and 4 touchdowns in a 44-14 win over Dixie. The touchdown runs were for 32, 16, 1 and 8 yards.

Kamajay Bracket-Brannon, Broome

Brackett-Brannon was 16-of-20 for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 42-21 win over Blue Ridge. In addition, the Centurions’ quarterback ran for 103 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Andrew Stevens, Byrnes

Stevens was 25-of-36 for 284 yards and 4 touchdowns as the Rebels held off Boiling Springs 38-31. He also had a rushing touchdown.

Quan Edmond, Strom Thurmond

The Rebels’ quarterback was 11-of-15 for 182 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 48-3 throttling of Saluda.

Drake Braddock, Gilbert

Braddock threw for 237 yards and 3 touchdowns as undefeated Gilbert rolled over Swansea 60-0.

Will Wilson, Richland Northeast

The North Carolina State commit was 20-of-28 for 335 yards and 5 touchdowns while also running for 150 yards and a touchdown as the Cavaliers outscored A.C. Flora 73-58. The points were a school record for Richland Northeast.

Roper Wentzky, A.C. Flora

Wentzky was 19-of-35 for 321 yards and 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in the loss to Richland Northeast.

James Willingham, Richland Northeast

Willingham ran for 238 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 18 carries in the Cavaliers’ victory.
