We have 10 athletes nominated this week for SBLive’s Lower State South Carolina Offfensive Football Player of the Week from Oct. 5-6 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominations:
Derrick Salley, Ashley Ridge
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound senior wide receiver had game for the age, catching 7 passes for 270 and 3 touchdowns to go along with a 6-yard touchdown run out of the wildcat in Swamp Foxes’ 31-20 win over West Ashley.
Henry Rivers, Berkeley
Rivers is already as a freshman. The Stags’ quarterback threw for 335 yards and 4 touchdowns while running for 103 yards and 2 TDs in a 52-10 rout of Wando.
Charles Watson, Fort Dorchester
The Patriots’ quarterback threw for 212 yards and 3 touchdowns in a 49-35 victory over Goose Creek.
Braxton Ratleff, Carolina Forest
It takes the big guys up front to pave the way for the running backs. Ratleff, a 6-foot-3, 275-pound senior center, helped a strong effort by the offensive line that produced 408 yards rushing in a 49-17 win over Conway.
Christian Tilton, John Paul II
Tilton fired three touchdown passes, ran for two more and returned a kickoff for a touchdown in the Warriors’ 47-14 win over Hilton Head Prep.
Chalmers Ballard, Lucy Beckham
The junior quarterback threw for 240 yards and 4 touchdowns with no interceptions as the undefeated Bengals rolled past Bluffton 45-22.
Franklin Emerson, West Florence
The Knights’ quarterback tossed three touchdown passes and ran for two more in a 40-30 win over North Myrtle Beach.
Quay’Sheed Scott, Marion
Scott ran for 95 yards and a touchdown while also having 73 yards receiving and a touchdown as Marion beat Kingstree 34-0.
Zori Pierce, Lamar
Pierce, a sophomore quarterback, was 14-of-19 for 268 yards in a 34-0 win over Green Sea-Floyds.
Chanston Crosby, Bamberg-Ehrhardt
The Red Raiders’ quarterback was 10-of-14 for 282 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Red Raiders’ 62-7 thumping of Branchville. Crosby also had a rushing touchdown.
