It's playoff time for Rhode Island high school football and the Ocean State is producing some of the best quarterbacks in the New England region.

So which one has been the best in 2023?

We give you a list of 10 signal callers to choose from as we take a deeper dive into which quarterbacks have had the best 2023 season in Rhode Island High School Football.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are the nominations: 

Brayden Rogers, North Kingstown: The 6-foot-1, 195-pound quarterback has had himself a solid season for North Kingstown. Rogers completed 162-of-249 passes for 2,144 yards and 17 touchdowns. Also rushed for 382 yards on the ground. 

Landon Husereau, Westerly: Husereau has been featured on our top freshmen players in Rhode Island and he's also been one of the top quarterbacks. The quarterback has completed 102-of-175 passes for 1,580 yards and 20 touchdowns. 

Daunte Melton, Woonsocket: The 5-foot-10, 175-pound senior quarterback has been one of the state's top passers all season long for the Villa Novans. Melton this fall has completed 104-of-153 passes for 1,526 yards, 11 touchdowns and has rushed for 278 and four scores. 

Chace Roberts, Pilgrim: Roberts became the full-time starter this season and doubled his numbers from his junior campaign. The senior has completed 114-of-214 passes for 1,451 yards and 16 touchdowns. 

Logan Gelinas, Burrillville: The 5-foot-9 junior quarterback also plays guard on the basketball team. Before he hit the hardwood this winter, his fall campaign was solid for Burrillville, throwing for 1,230 yards and 15 touchdowns. 

Adonai Lopez, Mt. Pleasant: Lopez not only got it done with his right arm, but also got yards with his legs. The senior signal caller has completed 55-of-103 passes for 1,065 yards and 13 touchdowns. Also added 156 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. 

Noah Taylor, Tolman: Taylor is a sophomore quarterback and defensive back, with upside showing all throughout the 2023 season. The sophomore quarterback completed 83-of-160 passes for 1,053 yards and 14 touchdowns. 

Matt Clements, Johnston: The junior signal caller finished up a strong fall campaign, in which he was among the state leaders in touchdowns. Clements completed 83-of-176 passes for 1,080 yards and 13 touchdowns.
