Bryce Underwood, nation's No. 1 prospect, arrives 'home' for LSU Tigers visit

Belleville (Michigan) five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood is committed to LSU

The LSU Tigers have perhaps the biggest prize in the class of 2025 already locked up.

Belleville (Michigan) five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, the nation's No. 1 overall prospect according to On3 and 247Sports, has been committed to LSU since early January and doesn't seem to be having any second thoughts.

In fact, this weekend he's making a return trip to Baton Rouge and announced his arrival "home" on social media:

As a junior, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound signal-caller was named the Michigan Gatorade Player of the Year, throwing for 3,329 yards and 41 touchdowns while adding seven scores on the ground.

“Bryce Underwood will likely go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of high school football in Michigan," MLive's Greg Wickliffe said. "His junior season was just as impressive as his first two campaigns as he led Belleville to a 13-1 record and a third-straight championship appearance. He was the most consistent player this season with more than 40 touchdown passes to only three interceptions.”

While it's early in the 2025 recruiting cycle, LSU's class is already sitting at No. 3 nationally, thanks largely to the early additions of Underwood and Duncanville (Texas) five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore.

But while Moore continues to look at his options, Underwood seems locked in on a future "home" in Louisiana.

And that's very good news for the Tigers.
