Jadyn Hudson discusses Oregon, Miami; Elite safety setting up spring visits

Pittsburg (California) four-star safety Jadyn Hudson is setting up several visits

Pittsburg (California) four-star safety Jadyn Hudson is one of the nation's top defensive backs.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound California standout is rated the nation's No. 55 overall prospect and No. 7 safety in the class of 2025, which explains why he's racked up nearly 30 early scholarship offers.

But the California star is already down to a top ten: Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, USC and Washington.

Hudson plans to make an informed decision regarding his future and said he is hoping to take spring visits to Ohio State, Oregon, Tennessee, USC and possibly others.

One of those standout programs, at least early in the process, is Oregon.

"I love the atmosphere at Oregon, the people in Eugene and all about Oregon football," he said. "The last visit I took was when they played Colorado. The thing that stood was just the whole college gameday experience in Eugene. It was my first time at a game and I had a great time."

Since then, Hudson's connection to the program has grown, specifically with defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi, who played high school football at storied De La Salle (California).

"I like the coaching staff," Hudson said. "You know, Coach Lupoi is from the Bay, so he’s shown a lot of love."

Miami is another program that the California defensive back has visited, including a trip in late January.

"I’ve only been down there twice, but every time i went it’s been good vibes," Hudson said. "I’m liking the staff so far. I get good energy from them."

It's too early to say exactly where the bluechip defensive back will end up, but 247Sports gives the early edge to Oregon, while On3 gives USC a slight advantage over the Ducks and rest of the field.

Clearly, Hudson is a top recruit to watch.
