Edward Coleman trims list to 6, sets Alabama, Florida State visits

Calvary Day School (Georgia) wide receiver Edward Coleman is down to six schools

Sometimes, and especially early, it's best to throw out the star rating.

Class of 2025 Calvary Day School (Georgia) wide receiver Edward Coleman missed all but five games of his junior season and is rated a three-star prospect.

So, his raw numbers aren't particularly mind-blowing.

But the 5-foot-11, 180-pound athlete has an offer sheet that tells a different story.

Coleman, the nation's No. 60 wide receiver, holds nearly 20 scholarship offers, highlighted by Alabama, Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, Louisville, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and others.

On Wednesday, Coleman took a massive step forward in his recruitment, trimming his list down to a final six of Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, South Carolina and Tennessee:

Coleman will take unofficial visits to Alabama (January 20) and Florida State (January 27) later this month in the hopes of further evaluating his options.

But more trips are coming.

"I do plan to go to every school during the spring," he said.

Expect Coleman's recruitment to ramp up quickly for a possible late-spring commitment, and for his recruiting ranking to follow.
