Kevin Riley flips from Miami to Alabama; nation's No. 3 running back staying home

Tuscaloosa County (Alabama) four-star running back Kevin Riley has flipped to in-state Alabama

The first day of the early signing period is expected to be a big one for Nick Saban's Alabama Crimson Tide.

Already boasting the nation's No. 2 recruiting class, Alabama is in the mix to flip some of the country's top prospects.

And they successfully flipped a big one Wednesday.

Tuscaloosa County (Alabama) four-star prospect Kevin Riley, the nation's No. 3 running back, flipped his commitment from Miami to Alabama:

The 6-foot, 192-pound ball-carrier is rated the nation's No. 73 overall prospect and gives the Tide commitments from five of the top 10 in-state recruits, headlined by a pair of five-star prospects - Saraland wide receiver Ryan Williams and Clay-Chalkville athlete Jaylen Mbakwe

Seemingly prepared for the flip, Miami was able to turn the tables with a prospect of its own, stealing St. Thomas Aquinas (Florida) back Jordan Lyle from Ohio State on Monday.
