Prediction: Alabama Crimson Tide set to flip elite offensive recruit

Alabama is set to flip a top target nationally

The early signing period kicks off Wednesday and is the first day class of 2024 football recruits can officially with the universities of their choice.

Which also means there could be plenty of fireworks, as top recruits announce decisions, flip to other schools or delay commitments until early February.

One of the marquee names to watch this week is Tuscaloosa County (Alabama) four-star prospect Kevin Riley, the nation's No. 4 running back and No. 76 overall prospect.

Although the 5-foot-11, 195-pound ball-carrier has been committed to Mario Cristobal's Miami Hurricanes since June, he took a late visit to check out the in-state Alabama Crimson Tide and it seems things have shifted.

Prediction: Kevin Riley to Alabama

Riley will announce his final decision - and sign - Wednesday at 1 p.m. ET in Landers Gymnasium at his high school:

But following a last-minute visit to check out the Crimson Tide, all signs point to a likely flip.

In truth, the possibility of a change-of-heart has been brewing for some time.

Riley has taken three unofficial visits to games at Alabama, including SEC clashes against Ole Miss and LSU, and finally took that key official visit over the weekend.

It's clear he has a choice to make.

And staying home looks like the overwhelming favorite with one day before his decision.
