Tobias Merriweather drawing interest from Oregon, Washington, Washington State, SEC programs, others

Notre Dame sophomore wide receiver Tobias Merriweather has entered the NCAA transfer portal

Former Union (Washington) star and Notre Dame sophomore wide receiver Tobias Merriweather has entered his name into the NCAA's transfer portal.

And he's already hearing from several schools.

According to a source close to Merriweather's recruitment, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound pass-catcher is hearing most from Arizona, Oregon, UCLA, Washington and Washington State, as well as initial contact from a handful of SEC programs.

He remains open to all schools.

As a sophomore, the long, athletic receiver hauled in 14 receptions for 282 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 20.3 yards per catch.

Coming out of high school in the class of 2022, Merriweather was rated the nation's No. 80 overall prospect, No. 14 wide receiver and No. 2 player in the state of Washington, behind only Rainier Beach five-star offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr. (Oregon Ducks).

The Vancouver-area star committed to Notre Dame over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, California, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, Washington, Washington State and several others.
