Jericho Johnson visiting Oregon Ducks; Nation's top uncommitted defensive lineman nearing decision

Armijo (California) four-star defensive lineman Jericho Johnson is visiting Oregon this weekend

The No. 6 Oregon Ducks host the No. 16 Oregon State Beavers in a massive rivalry clash this week.

Hoping to capitalize on the big stage, Dan Lanning's program is hosting a key collection of visitors.

Few, however, are more noteworthy than Armijo (California) four-star prospect Jericho Johnson, the nation's top uncommitted defensive lineman in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound athlete is rated the nation's No. 108 overall prospect and No. 18 defensive lineman and growing closer to his December 21 decision, as reported by 247Sports

For some time, Johnson has been down to a final four of Oregon, USC, Utah and Washington, but the Ducks are considered the team to beat.

Johnson confirmed his visit Wednesday and also indicated he will visit Eugene again in December.

He has no plans to visit any other schools currently.

This weekend's trip could be yet another massive step forward for Oregon and Johnson, as well as the program's unofficial quest to finish with the nation's top defensive line haul.

The Ducks already hold commitments from Mater Dei (California) five-star defensive lineman Aydin Breland and Salpointe Catholic (Arizona) five-star edge-rusher Elijah Rushing.

Adding Johnson into the fold would give defensive coordinator three elite bluechip prospects and arguably the top three defensive line prospects in the West region.
