Oregon Ducks host Lane Kiffin's son on recruiting visit for USC game; Dad responds

Oregon hosted a huge recruiting weekend for its win over USC

The Oregon Ducks earned a big win over the USC Trojans on Saturday night, moving one step closer to a possible college football playoff berth while establishing quarterback Bo Nix as the Heisman Trophy favorite.

Hoping to gain some recruiting momentum with the marquee matchup, Oregon hosted dozens of recruits.

While there were a handful of notable five-star prospects on campus, the most eye-opening (last) name for Oregon-USC was a class of 2028 quarterback named "Kiffin."

Yes, Lane Kiffin's son, Knox Kiffin, took an unofficial trip to Eugene, where he was able to connect with Dan Lanning and Tosh Lupoi,

While Kiffin was thankful for the trip, Lane wrote a tongue-in-cheek message to Oregon about his son's visit on the same day Ole Miss lost to Georgia.

"Currently losing my (five-star) QB to Dan Lanning and Coach Lupoi," he wrote. "Unfortunately, son, you didn’t miss anything (Saturday). Good win Ducks."

Lanning's grin would seem to indicate he also had fun with Kiffin's visit.

Overall, Oregon's 2024 recruiting class is ranked No. 6 nationally.
