Isaac Carr, No. 1 basketball prospect in Oregon, previews finalists ahead of Thursday decision

Class of 2025 Central Catholic (Oregon) combo guard Isaac Carr is ready to announce his college commitment

Class of 2025 Central Catholic (Oregon) combo guard Isaac Carr is the top sophomore basketball prospect in the state.

On Thursday at 1 p.m., the 6-foot-4 playmaker will make his decision from a group of finalists that includes Loyola Marymount, Oregon, Oregon State, Pepperdine and Stanford.

Carr joined SBLive Sports to give his thoughts on a few of his final schools.

Oregon State Beavers: "I visited Oregon State a couple of times... super cool campus, coaches were cool, Coach Rev [Eric Reveno] actually coached my brother, David, when he was in college at the University of Portland, so I have good relationships with them."

Oregon Ducks: "I visited multiple times with them as well. I love their coaching staff and everything they stand for. I think I have a really good connection with them. The facilities are awesome as well and it’s close to home. Overall, a great opportunity."

Stanford Cardinal: "High academics at Stanford, and how they envisioned me at the school had me hooked with them. Love the California destination as well. I love all the coaches there."

As a sophomore, Carr averaged 14.8 points per game, while shooting 36.8 percent from three and 82.8 percent from the free throw line.

>>> Prediction: Will it be Oregon, Oregon State Stanford or a surprise commitment?
