The Missouri Tigers football team took down nationally-ranked Kansas State, and the big win over their neighbor to the West appears to already be paying dividends on the recruiting trail.

Julian "JuJu" Marks, a four-star defensive lineman from St. Thomas Aquinas (Kansas), announced his commitment to Missouri following the Tigers’ 30-27 win over No. 15 Kansas State.

“I will be closing my recruitment and playing at the University of Missouri”, Marks said in a video posted to his Instagram on Saturday.

Marks is the first player to commit to Missouri in the 2025 recruiting cycle. The 6-foot-7, 260-pound junior is the nation's No. 25 defensive lineman and No. 218 overall recruit in 2025, per the On3 industry ranking.

Marks' commitment comes one month after Missouri won the battle for five-star senior Williams Nwaneri, the nation's No. 1 defensive lineman in the class of 2024.

Upsetting Kansas State proved Missouri will be a dangerous team in 2023, and with blue-chip recruits like Nwaneri and Marks on deck, the Tigers should have plenty more chances to pull off big wins over the coming years.
