Rodrick Pleasant, nation's No. 8 cornerback, explains why he signed with Oregon Ducks, plans for football and track
The biggest traditional signing period commitment for the Oregon Ducks was unquestionably Serra (California) two-sport star Rodrick Pleasant.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound All-American cornerback and elite sprinter chose Oregon over USC, UCLA and others late in the process, giving Dan Lanning's program the unquestioned title of "Kings of California recruiting."
Oregon landed five-star wide receiver Jurrion Dickey, five-star edge-rusher Matayo Uiagalelei, four-star cornerback Daylen Austin and Pleasant, giving the Ducks four of the top nine players from their neighbor to the South.
Overall, Oregon finished with the nation's No. 8 recruiting class and the No. 1 class in the Pac-12 Conference.
