Jayshon Limar, 2025 Lake Stevens running back, picks up Notre Dame offer, earns chance to play alongside brother
Lake Stevens High School (Washington) star Jayden Limar is arguably the top running back prospect in the West region.
In May, the 5-foot-11, 190-pound ball-carrier ended his recruitment with a commitment to Notre Dame.
Now, his younger brother will have a chance to follow in his footsteps... if he so chooses.
Over the weekend, class of 2025 running back Jayshon Limar earned an offer from the Fighting Irish:
"It was before the game," Limar said,. "One of their staff came to the game and he was talking to my coach, and I thought nothing of it. Then, my coach walked up to me and told me and it was just... I was just in shock. Like, I get to have the option to play college football with my brother if I want to."
It's so early in his high school career that Limar can't talk to coaches directly unless he's on campus.
He's had those opportunities at Notre Dame, so he is closest to that staff, although he was quick to point out that Arizona is also a program he's building a relationship with.
"I can’t talk to any schools right now, but if I had to say who I’m closest with it’s probably Notre Dame because of my brother," Limar said. "Then it’s probably Arizona at a close second and the other two at third."
So far, Limar has early offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Notre Dame and Washington State.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound sophomore is bigger than his older brother already and has massive legs for a player his age.
Limar could grow into a bruising, powerful college running back as he develops.
And he's already established himself as a national recruit.
