Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Pennsylvania high school athlete of the week for February 25 – March 3. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m. Votes must be made in the poll and emailed votes will not count. Had a team-high 26 points on Monday in a win over Thomas Jefferson. 

Lydia Betz, North Allegheny girls basketball

Scored a game-high 21 points on Monday night in a win over Peters Township. 

Nolan Buzalka, Cumberland Valley boys basketball

In a win over Reading on Tuesday, the junior scored 17 points and grabbed 17 rebounds. 

Lauren Cavoli, Central Dauphin girls basketball

Hit six 3-pointers and led all scorers with 20 points in a win over Wilson on Monday, 

Adah Fuller, Knoch girls basketball

Scored a game-high 28 points on Monday in a win over Central Valley.

Alena Fusetti, Blackhawk girls basketball

In a win over Laurel Highlands, the senior scored a game-high 21 points, had six rebounds and five steals. 

Lorenzo Gardner, Monessen boys basketball

Dropped a game-high 31 points in a win over Carlynton on Tuesday. 

Nathan Garrett, Eden Christian boys basketball

Scored a game-high 31 points in a loss to Jeannette on Monday.

Kabe Goss, Roman Catholic boys basketball 

Knocked down a game-winning jumper at the buzzer in the second overtime to help Roman Catholic defeat Archbishop Ryan to win the Philadelphia Catholic League title. 

Elijah Guillory, Thomas Jefferson boys basketball

Despite a loss to Moon Area, he scored a game-high 39 points. 

Carter Horst, Warwick boys basketball

Hit seven 3-pointers and led the way with 25 points in an 82-61 win over Manheim Central. 

David Kwiat, Neshannock boys basketball

On Monday, Kwiat led all scorers with 29 points in an overtime loss to Deer Lakes. 

Kyree Latimer, Constitution boys basketball

Scored a game-high 26 points in a win over Paul Robeson on Tuesday. 

Wayne Love, Deer Lakes boys basketball

In a win over Neshannock, Love led the Lancers with 23 points. 

Katelyn Myers, Highlands girls basketball

Led the Golden Rams with 20 points, including six 3-pointers, in a win over Greensburg Salem on Monday. 

Ella Moses, Port Allegany girls basketball

Had 22 points, 17 rebounds and four steals in a win over Otto-Eldred on Monday.

Makayla Presser-Palmer, Northwestern girls basketball

In a win over Wilmington on Wednesday, she had 25 points and eight rebounds. She also scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a loss to Mercyhurst Prep.

Ava Renninger, Archbishop Wood girls basketball

In a double-overtime win over Archbishop Ryan, Renninger led all scorers with 22 points, including eight of the Vikings' nine points in the second overtime.

Desiree Smucker, Linville Hill girls basketball

The junior shot 13-of-19 from the floor, including 5-of-7 from 3-point range, in scoring a game-high 35 points in a win over Veritas Academy on Tuesday.

Julie Spinelli, St. Joseph girls basketball

Had a game-high 32 points on Monday in a win over Aquinas Academy.

Riley Stackhouse, Bayard Rustin girls basketball

Scored 21 points in a win over East.

Raney Staub, Fort Cherry girls basketball

Scored a game-high 26 points in a win over Winchester Thurston.

Maddie Syka, Lincoln Park girls basketball

Dropped a 38-point performance in a win over North Hills on Monday.

Julianna Umalin, Bishop Canevin girls basketball

Knocked down six 3-pointers and led all scorers with 21 points in a win over Eden Christian.

John Updyke, Conemaugh Township boys basketball

On Tuesday in a win over Tussey Mountain, he had 26 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
