Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Pennsylvania high school athlete of the week for January 21-27. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m. Votes must be made in the poll and emailed votes will not count. In a win over Seneca, he picked up his team-leading 27th pin of the season along with his team-leading 30th victory at 215 pounds.

Jessica Canty, Parkway Center City girls basketball

Led all scorers with 32 points in a win over Constitution. The sophomore also snagged nine rebounds in the game.

Bella Carroto, Charleroi girls basketball

In a win over Geibel Catholic, she led the Cougars with 26 points.

Owen Carson, Cathedral Prep swimming

Took the top honors in the shortest and longest races in dual against Warren as he won both the 50 and 500 free events.

Maria Costa, Cathedral Prep swimming

In a dual win over McDowell, she broke both the team and pool record in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:05.69.

J.T. Delsandro, Harbor Creek boys basketball

Scored 33 points in a 77-74 overtime win against General McLane.

Sonny Diehl, Clearfield girls basketball

The freshman scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as the Bison defeated Bald Eagle Area.

Carryn Easley, Neumann-Goretti girls basketball

The junior averaged 21 points per game over three games this past week. She scored 22 in a win over Nazareth Academy, 23 in a loss to Archbishop Wood and then 28 in a win over Archbishop Ryan.

Derek Errett, Fort Cherry boys basketball

Scored a game-high 27 points in a win over Bentworth on Tuesday.

Gianna Gallucci, Bishop McCort girls basketball

In a win over Richland, the senior recorded a double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds.

Logan Golle, Taylor Allderdice boys basketball

The senior scored a game-high 40 points in a win over Brashear.

Eric James, North Hills boys basketball

Led all scorers with 35 points in a 78-72 win over Penn-Trafford on Tuesday night.

Ty Keffer, Southmoreland boys basketball

Put up a 43-point effort on Tuesday night in a 72-56 win over Valley.

Owen Koleno, West Branch boys basketball

Scored 31 points and had eight rebounds in a win over Williamsburg.

Despite a loss to Charleroi, the sophomore scored a game-high 38 points on Monday.

Had a double-double with 40 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech.

Brady Mayo, Beaver boys basketball

Put in a game-high 30 points in a win over Hopewell. He also added four assists and four steals.

Malachi Montgomery, Abraham Lincoln boys basketball

Scored a season-high 35 points on Thursday in a win over Constitution.

Ella Moses, Port Alleghany girls basketball

Recorded a double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds on Friday in a win over Kane.

Tyrick Moy, Neumann Regional Academy boys basketball

The senior put up a 26-point, 22-rebound double-double in a win over Benton on Wednesday.

Ries Naugle, Selinsgrove boys basketball

Scored a game-hgih 37 points in a win over Jersey Shore.

Bryce Nicholson, Turkeyfoot Valley boys basketball

Nicholson exploded on Saturday for 52 points in a win over Ferndale. In a 73-61 win over Mapletown earlier in the week, he scored more than half his team’s points with 38.

Pace Prosser, Berlin Brothersvalley boys basketball

Dropped a game-high 36 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 67-61 win over Greater Latrobe.

Joseph Roth, Ellwood City boys basketball

Had another monster double-double with 31 points and 17 rebounds in a win over Neshannock on Tuesday.

Maddie Syka, Lincoln Park girls basketball

In a 61-60 overtime victory against Trinity, she dropped a game-high 39 points.

Meleek Thomas, Lincoln Park boys basketball

Led the Leopards with 26 points in a win over Ambridge on Tuesday.

Iyanna Wade, Clairton girls basketball

In an 81-32 win over Steel Valley on Thursday, she scored 65 of the 81 points for the Bears. That comes after she scored 42 of her team’s 60 points in a 60-11 win over Ellis on Monday.

Deshawn Yates, Neumann-Goretti boys basketball

In a win over Conwell Egan Catholic on Monday, the sophomore had 22 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.

Brynna Zentner, Bloomsburg girls basketball

The senior had a double-double with 27 points and 15 rebounds in a win over Mount Carmel.
