Pennsylvania high school football top stars, best performances (11/19/2023)

There were several big-time high school football performances across the state of Pennsylvania this past weekend. Here are some of those performances.

Donald Barksdale, Steel Valley

In a 34-21 win over Mohawk, he ran the ball 26 times for 254 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also intercepted a pass and returned it 52 yards for a score.

Dom Berarducci, McDowell

Carried the ball 28 times for 229 yards and three touchdowns in a 47-20 win over State College.

Drew Branstetter, Camp Hill

In a 32-26 win over West Catholic, he threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns and added 101 yards on the ground as well as another score. His final touchdown pass was the game-winner with 26 seconds remaining.

A.C. Corfield, South Side

In a 28-12 win over Clairton, he had two catches for 70 yards and a pair of scores while also running for 119 yards and a touchdown.

Nolan Dilucia, Peters Township

In the WPIAL Class 5A championship game, the sophomore quarterback was 14-of-25 for 184 yards and three touchdowns and he ran for 81 yards and a score on 13 carries as the Indians defeated Pine-Richland. 

Wyatt Ehrenzeller, Juniata

Accounted for all three touchdowns in a 21-7 win over Meadville with a passing touchdown and two rushing scores.

Tiqwai Hayes, Aliquippa

In a 47-24 win over Mars, the Penn State commit ran for 201 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns.

Hayden Johnson, Manheim Township

Completed 16-of-19 passes for 273 yards and three scores in a 37-27 win over Cumberland Valley. He also added 89 yards rushing on 11 carries.

Logan Kushner, North Allegheny

In a win over Pittsburgh Central Catholic in the WPIAL Class 6A championship, the senior quarterback accounted for six touchdowns as he threw for 107 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 240 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries.

Shawn Lee, Jr., Harrisburg

Carried the ball 15 times for 153 yards and three touchdowns, including an 80-yarder on the first play from scrimmage, as Harrisburg defeated Central York.

Aaryn Longenecker, Cocalico

Had nine carries for 148 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Cedar Cliff.

Quinton Martin, Belle Vernon

The Penn State commit ran 11 times for 152 yards and a touchdown and also pulled in a touchdown pass in a win over Eat Allegheny.

Stone Saunders, QB, Bishop McDevitt

The Kentucky commit had 235 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns in a 43-7 win over Lampeter-Strasburg.

Matt Sieg, Fort Cherry

The sophomore quarterback ran for 157 yards and five touchdowns in a win over Bishop Canevin. He added 112 yards through the air.

Keith Spell, McKeesport

Had 28 carries for 190 yards and three scores in a 28-14 win over Montour.
