Body: Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Pennsylvania high school athlete of the week for September October 15-21. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Tyree Alux, North Allegheny football
In a win over Penn-Trafford, Alux scored a pair of rushing touchdowns and also returned an interception 80 yards for a score.
Drew Branstetter, Camp Hill football
Despite a loss to West Perry, Branstetter had almost 350 yards passing and four touchdowns.
Cole Bartram, Northern York football
Carried the ball 48 times for 500 yards and scored nine touchdowns in a 63-42 win over Gettysburg.
Semaj Beals, Roman Catholic football
The sophomore quarterback threw three touchdown passes as Roman Catholic defeated La Salle College 27-21.
Paul Bronaugh, Moon Area football
In a double overtime loss to Upper St. Clair, Bronaugh had 236 yards rushing and three touchdowns on just nine carries, including a pair of 85-yard scores.
Olivia Dixon, Cathedral Prep girls soccer
Scored all three goals for the Ramblers in a 3-2 win over McDowell.
Jack Fennell, North Catholic football
In a 42-6 win over Indiana, he ran for 252 yards and scored five rushing touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff 82 yards for a score.
Michael Gimigliano, South Fayette football
Despite a loss to Bethel Park, Gimigliano caught 10 passes for 234 yards and three touchdowns.
Rhianna Gooneratne, Plymouth Whitemarsh girls golf
Shot the best round in the PIAA Class 3A state championship with a 67 in the first round and went on to win the state title by five strokes.
Grant Hall, Big Spring football
In a 42-14 win over Upper Dauphin, he ran for 214 yards and caught three passes for another 53 yards while scoring four touchdowns.
Dennis Hawkins, Monessen football
Completed 17 passes for 361 yards and five touchdowns in a 36-20 win over Mapleton.
Abby Higgins, Trinity girls soccer
Scored the game-winner in the final minute as the Hillers defeated Waynesburg 2-1.
Armand Hill, West Mifflin football
The 5-foot-10, 165-pound freshman running back carried the ball 27 times for 495 yards and five touchdowns for the Titans in a 42-7 win over Hopewell.
Ethen Knox, Oil City football
Ran for 355 yards and three touchdowns as Oil City defeated Titusville 33-12.
Shawn Lee Jr., Harrisburg football
In a win over Chambersburg, the quarterback threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 106 more yards and a pair of scores.
Quinton Martin, Belle Vernon football
The Penn State recruit needed just nine carries to lead the Leopards with 147 yards rushing in a win over Southmoreland. He also scored a touchdown.
Blayze Myers, McDowell football
The junior quarterback completed 15 of his 18 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns in a 52-12 win over Butler.
Darian Nelson, Plum football
Hauled in nine passes for 149 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 28-20 win over Hempfield.
Jack O’Brien, Mt. Lebanon boys soccer
Found the back of the net in overtime to lead Mt. Lebanon past South Fayette 2-1.
Kole Olszewski, Bishop Canevin football
In a win over Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, he was 13-of-20 for 325 yards passing and four touchdowns.
Asher Plonski, Erie High boys soccer
In a 2-1 win over Harbor Creek to end the regular season, he scored the game-winner in the second half.
Sydney Rotko, General McLane girls soccer
Scored the 100th goal of her career in an 8-0 win over Meadville, She had scored her 99th goal earlier in the game.
Stone Saunders, Bishop McDevitt football
The Kentucky commit completed 21 of his 29 passes for 287 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Palmyra.
Damon Sell, Tamaqua football
In Friday's game against Palmerton, Sell intercepted a pass and took it back for a touchdown. It was the third game in a row with a pick-6 for Sell, a first in school history.
Quadir Stribling, Serra Catholic football
Completed 13 of his 18 passes for 387 yards and five touchdowns as Serra Catholic took down Apollo-Ridge.
Anna Swan, North East girls golf
The only golfer in the gilrs Class 2A state tournament to finish under par, she took home the state title at 1-under par 143. After a 73 in the first round, she fired a Class 2A tournament best 70 in the second round, including 2-under on the final nine. After a bogey on the second hole put her 2-over for the tournament, she went 3-under the rest of the way.
Hunter Swidzinski, Butler boys golf
Made a 15-foot birdie putt on the third hole of a playoff to capture the PIAA Class 3A state championship. He fired an 8-under 64 in the final round.
Ahmad Ward, Derry football
Carried the ball 22 times for 250 yards and four touchdowns in a 29-22 win over Burrell.
Nick Werner, Wyoming Seminary boys golf
One of only two golfers to shoot under par in both rounds of the PIAA Class 2A state tournament, his 68-70-138 was good enough to give him the state title by two shots. His first round of 68 was also tied for the low round of the Class 2A tournament.
Billy Whitlach, West Greene football
Led the West Green offense with 255 yards rushing and three scores in a 31-16 win over Jefferson-Morgan.
