Pennsylvania high school football top stars, best performances (10/15/2023)

From Donald Barksdale of Steel Valley to Quadir Stribling of Serra Catholic, there were several big-time high school football performances across the state of Pennsylvania in games played October 12-14

There were several big-time high school football performances across the state of Pennsylvania this past weekend. Here are some of those performances.

Donald Barksdale, Steel Valley

Ran for 258 yards and six touchdowns in a 49-14 win over Burrell.

Luke Blessing, Mount Carmel

Carried the ball 23 times for 153 yards and three scores and also had a touchdown catch in a win over Southern Columbia.

Jason Burney, Milton Hershey

In a 47-44 win over Lower Dauphin, Burney threw for 386 yards and five touchdown passes. The final touchdown came with eight ticks remaining when he hit Mo Koroma for a 12-yard score. 

Alex Erby, Steelton-Highspire

A week after breaking the state of Pennsylvania career passing yardage record in a win over Camp Hill, Erby etched his name in the record book again as he threw for seven touchdown passes to become the leader in career touchdown passes in the state. He finished the game 17-of-21 for 435 yards and seven scores as the Rollers beat Newport 67-12.

Elijah Faulkner, Pittsburgh Central Catholic

Had 27 carries for 143 yards and three touchdowns as the Vikings bounced back with a win over Penn Hills.

Armand Hill, West Mifflin

In the first half alone, Hill ran for 313 yards and five touchdowns in a win over Quaker Valley.

Quinton Martin, Belle Vernon

The Penn State recruit scored three touchdowns in a 55-7 win over Mt. Pleasant. He had a pair of 25-yard touchdown runs and hauled in a 15-yard touchdown catch.

Jaivin Peel, Western Beaver

Threw for 423 yards and five touchdowns in a 57-7 win over New Brighton.

Marcus Quaker, West Perry

Threw for 233 yards and ran for 127 yards while accounting for four touchdowns in a 31-6 win over Middletown.

Brixx Rawl, Beaver Falls

In a win over Ellwood City, he ran for 227 yards and three scores.

Eli Reider, Mechanicsburg

In a 35-31 win over Waynesboro, Reider was 22-of-40 for 339 yards and five touchdown passes, including the game-winner to Henry Notarfrancesco with 1:13 left int the game.

Stone Saunders, Bishop McDevitt

The University of Kentucky commit threw for 253 yards and six touchdowns in a 49-0 win over Red Land.

Bennett Secrest, Cedar Cliff

Had 144 yards rushing and three touchdowns on the ground while also throwing for 111 yards and a score in a win over Palmyra.

Keith Spell, McKeesport

Ran for 201 yards and two touchdowns, including a 79-yarder, in a win over Gateway.

Quadir Stribling, Serra Catholic

Was 18-of-27 for 321 yards and five touchdowns as Serra Catholic defeated Ligonier Valley 47-0.
