Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Pennsylvania high school athlete of the week for September 24-30. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Brad Birch, Gateway football

The quarterback continues to roll after missing two games earlier this season. In a 63-21 win over Hempfield, Birch threw for 247 yards and five touchdowns.

Colin Brady, West Greene football

The senior ran for 301 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-32 win over Monessen.

Mason Chambers, Upper St. Clair football

In a 42-27 win over Mt. Lebanon, Chambers had 16 carries for 202 yards and four touchdowns.

Mateo Crummel, Central Dauphin football

Made the most of his receptions in a 50-16 win over Carlisle, as he scored four touchdowns on six catches. His touchdowns were of 46, 47, 49 and 57 yards.

Jamari Curlett, North East football

In a win over Lutheran East (Ohio), Curlett had six catches for 129 yards and four touchdowns.

Kyle Dupill, Franklin Regional football

In a 45-26 win over Plum, Dupill finished with 240 yards rushing and five touchdowns.

Skyler Gates, Brownsville girls volleyball

In a four-set win over McGuffey, Gates finished with 21 kills and 14 blocks. 

Michael Gaul, State College football

In a 43-17 win over Central Dauphin East, he hauled in a pair of touchdown catches, intercepted a pass and also had a tackle for loss on a fourth down play.

Peter Gonzalez, Pittsburgh Central Catholic football

Hauled in touchdown passes of 46, 59 and 83 yards in a 49-6 win over Canon-McMillan. He finished with seven catches for 268 yards.

Logan Kushner, North Allegheny football

The quarterback led the Tigers offense by throwing for 265 yards and three scores and then adding 139 rushing and two more touchdowns in a 45-10 win over Pine-Richland.

Quinton Martin, Belle Vernon football

The Penn State commit helped lead the way in a 57-6 win over South Allegheny with three rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown.

Drew McKim, Shady Side Academy boys soccer

In a 6-2 win over Deer Lakes, McKim accounted for half the offense by recording a hat trick.

Sydney Rotko, General McLane girls soccer

In a 4-0 win over Mercyhurst Prep, she led the attack with a hat trick.

Ryan Rupert, East Allegheny boys soccer

Found the back of the net five times in a 7-1 win over Steel Valley. 

Jason Salman, Thomas Jefferson football

Pulled in two touchdowns receptions and also took an interception return for a score in a win over Laurel Highlands.

Matt Sieg, Fort Cherry football

In a win over Bishop Canevin, the sophomore quarterback had 277 yards rushing and four touchdowns and also threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns. He finished with more than 430 yards of total offense and accounted for seven touchdowns.

Ryan Simonette, Canon-McMillan boys soccer

Stopped all five shots he faced in a 2-0 shutout of Norwin.

Jacoby Thompson, Meadville football

In a 32-8 win over Oil City, the sophomore quarterback ran for more than 100 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns, including a 64-yarder on 2nd-and-47.

Trey Tremba, Parkland football

Carried the ball just eight times, but turned those touches into 174 yards and three touchdowns in a 36-7 win over Whitehall.

Jay Wrona, Mohawk Area football

Completed 21 passes for 289 yards and four touchdowns in a 38-14 win over Ellwood City.
