Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Pennsylvania high school athlete of the week for September 10-16. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Austin Armstrong, Harbor Creek boys soccer
Scored the game-winning goal in double overtime as the Huskies defeated Mercyhurst Prep 2-1.
Ava Capozzoli, Chartiers-Houston girls soccer
In a 7-1 win over Monessen, the junior found the net four times.
Natalie Carr, Canon-McMillan girls volleyball
In a sweep over Peters Township, she recorded 23 kills.
Jabree Coleman, Imhotep Charter football
The Georgia commit had himself a night on Friday, running for 293 yards and two touchdowns on 40 carries as Imhotep Charter, the No. 2 team in the SBLive Pennsylvania Power 25 defeated No. 5 Malvern Prep 24-24.
Alex Erby, Steelton-Highspire football
The lefty threw for 172 yards and five touchdown passes as the Rollers defeated Boiling Springs 55-7.
Rich Fix, West Mifflin football
The junior scored three different ways in a win over Ringgold. He ran for 160 yards and a touchdown, caught two touchdown passes and returned a punt for a score.
Brady French, Plum boys soccer
Found the back of the net in overtime to send Plum to a 2-1 win over Penn-Trafford.
Emma Gompers, Oakland Catholic girls soccer
With the game against Indiana scoreless in overtime on Monday, the sophomore found the net for the game-winner and a 1-0 victory.
Trey Good, East Pennsboro football
In a 42-24 win over Gettysburg, he pulled down five receptions for 187 yards and three scores. He also intercepted a pass on defense.
Tucker Graham, Radnor football
In a 26-20 win over Upper Moreland, Graham blocked a punt in the fourth quarter and recovered it in the end zone for the deciding touchdown.
Connor Green, Big Spring football
Ran for 221 yards and three scores in a 29-28 win over Camp Hill. Defensively, he had an interception.
Danick Hickson, Lakeview football
In a win over Maplewood, the senior picked off a pass and returned it 52 yards for a touchdown and then later in the game he backed that up with a 92-yard interception return for a score.
Dajoure Hollingsworth, Erie Cathedral Prep football
Carried the ball 18 times for 242 yards and four touchdowns as Cathedral Prep defeated St. Francis (New York) 78-72 in six overtimes.
Ashley Hosni, Hempfield Area girls volleyball
In a five-set win over Norwin, Hosni led the Spartans with 14 kills and 19 digs.
Riley Kerr, Greensburg Central Catholic girls soccer
Scored four goals as the Centurions defeated Seton LaSalle 7-1 on Monday and then backed that up with a six-goal performance and a pair of assists in a 14-1 win over Serra Catholic.
Ethen Knox, Oil City football
After missing last week with an injury, the senior running back carried the ball 39 times for 260 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Franklin.
Meriwether McCargo, Shady Side Academy girls tennis
The freshman took home the section 3A crown without dropping a game before the finals, where she defeated Gabrielle Moder, a senior from Baldwin, 6-2, 6-0.
Blayze Myers, McDowell football
In a 47-21 win over Erie, the junior quarterback was 22-of-27 for 230 yards and a pair of touchdown passes and added 47 yards and a score on the ground.
Braeden O’Connell, Henderson football
Threw for 260 yards and four touchdowns in a game against Sun Valley.
Keith Oates, East Pennsboro football
The senior quarterback threw for 347 yards and five touchdowns in a 42-24 win over Gettysburg. He also scored a touchdown on the ground.
Kole Olszewski, Bishop Canevin football
Completed 14 of his 19 passes for 311 yards and four touchdowns as Bishop Canevin defeated Burgettstown 35-0 on Saturday.
Stone Saunders, Bishop McDevitt football
The Kentucky commit passed for 323 yards and six touchdowns as the Crusaders defeated Palmyra 68-7.
Ava Scalise, Belle Vernon girls soccer
In a 5-0 win over Albert Gallatin on Monday, the junior recorded a hat trick and assisted on a fourth goal.
Scoop Smith, Woodland Hills football
The sophomore wide receiver hauled in 10 passes for 210 yards and three touchdowns in a 21-20 win over North Hills.
Braylon Thomas, Union Area football
Started the high school football weekend off by throwing for 189 yards and four touchdown passes while adding 124 yards and two more scores on the ground in a 40-8 win over Shenango on Thursday night.
Alyssa Tingley, Union City girls volleyball
In a four-set win over Erie First Christian, Tingley had 30 assists and 10 digs.
Trey Tremba, Parkland football
The senior scored times as the Trojans knocked off Nazareth 31-24. His final touchdown came on a 39-yard reception with just 1:22 left to give Parkland the lead. He finished the game with 267 yards rushing on 328 carries.
Dimitri Velisaris, Avonworth football
The freshman ran for 196 yards and three scores as the Antelopes defeated Hopewell.
Braylon Wagner, Redbank Valley football
In a win over Keystone on Saturday, the quarterback accounted for four touchdowns. He rushed for 104 yards and two scores on eight carries and completed nine of his 15 pass attempts for 157 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Zachary Welsh, Canon-McMillan football
Ran for 240 yards and a pair of scores as the Big Macs defeated Bethel Park 28-8.
Jonah Williamson, Trinity football
The sophomore quarterback accounted for over 450 yards of offense and six touchdowns in a 41-40 win over Connellsville. He threw for 234 yards and three scores while rushing for 233 yards and three more touchdowns, including the game-winner on a 32-yard run in the fourth quarter.
